kemp had so much talent, but he pissed the rest of his career away when he still should have had so much more to play out. too bad he never had any discipline anywhere. no one's perfect, but when you look at him, you just have to shake your head and think, "god damn, how many f--k ups can this one guy have?!" the world was his, and he pissed it away. why couldn't he just keep his sh!t together? there were so much poor decision makings in his life. having like a dozen illegitimate kids is one thing, but that sort of careless irresponsibility only demonstrated how he lived his life and where his head was. this was a guy who had many opportunities to redeem himself even when he was falling off the cliff. but how come he just couldn't commit himself to it? like how come he couldn't stay off drugs? when he got busted, he promised and vowed to clean up, but then he only got busted again and again. he said he wanted to commit to basketball, but he couldn't even set his mind to lose weight and stay in shape. and when he was out of the league but still around relative playing age, he still couldn't even keep up appointments to meet teams that had some interest. that's like skipping your job interviews when you're desperately looking for work. so what the hell was he doing then? doing more drugs? having more kids? eating more cheeseburgers? the world was his. he had talent to be a hall of fame player, but he pissed it all away on his own.

    ^^^^^^^^

Well, it's really a story about what drugs can do to your life. Why couldn't he stay off drugs you ask? Cuz they can be as addictive as hell. Even some of the strongest willed people on the planet can't shake them. So really it's a story about what drugs can do to your life. You can have everything, and lose it all. He's probably pretty lucky to at least be alive, and getting his life back on track, even if it's much less glamorous than it was before. It doesn't excuse his behavior, he made bad decisions, but the guy obviously gave into many temptations without thinking or worrying about the consequences, but he probably thought he could just snort a line here and there and then give it up. He found out like so many others have before, that it doesn't work like that, and it can completely change your life forever.

More relentless? Better J? Someone hasn't watched Kemp.

He was the best PF in the game for a good period of time.

I'd take him over a guy like Karl Malone as well.

wow... talk about someone not watching Kemp....

    Kemp was good.

Over Karl? you're nuts, it's not even close at all. You must have done nothing but watch sports center dunk highlights
