Usually those that are good at long twos are also good at midrange. Doesn't seem to be the case his rookie year though.

He needs to stop wasting his time in the NBA and move on to greater things.

I said midrange. And while 41% is pretty decent... He did not shoot that many shots from there. He shot about 110 midrange shots for the entire year . That is roughly 1 (10-16 foot) shot per game. That is a pretty small sample size. Garnett and Duncan had basically shot the same midrange percentage in 2000-2001 as Towns. But shot 3 times as many.
Just find it a bit odd is all. Granted those to big men didn't shoot 3s like Towns does, but interesting nonetheless.
Another thing to keep an eye on is the % assisted with those percentages. Both Duncan and KG were way below Town's 67%. It will interesting to see how that changes when he starts to work more in isolation/post ups. And it will also be interesting too how it changes when/if Minny starts winning.
I imagine Towns got a lot of open looks (more than Garnett/Duncan ever did) because Minny wasn't fighting for the playoffs and therefore a lot of stats gets skewed because of defensive pressure (or lack thereof).... especially in late March/April.
