Well...that blows. I'm still pissed he played in that preseason game.

Yeah once the game was out of reach he should have taken a seat. Seemed like every other play he was getting up off the floor. Not necessary.

preseason games are not meant to be won or lost. they are meant to figure stuff out. the players need the time on the court to get into rhythm.

Kobe certainly doesn't approach them like that. If you watched the game you would have seen he was going at it Monday night like it was game 7 of the 2010 Finals.

This. Kobe wants to win every game even if it is preseason. He is too competitive. Plus he wanted to make a statement that the Lakers are still top dog in LA.

that is why he shot 10 times. Come on....If you have watched Kobe's career you know he wasn't taking a preseason game as a must win.

Just stop. You clearly didn't even watch the game and you're just looking at box scores. You have no idea what you're talking about.

I posted observations in it throughout the game.

And yet somehow you didn't see Kobe being his usual try-and-takeover-the-game self. It's coincidence that immediately after a monster flush from DeAndre Jordan, Kobe facilitates a dunk for Bynum on the very next possession?
Kobe would take a game of Jenga seriously, so I'm not exactly sure why you question his tendency to prioritize a lowly preseason game against recently emboldened in-town rivals.

He's already declining physically. I won't be surprise if he retires less than 2 years from now.
