Doc Rivers on Jordan's FT shooting...
"If they go in they go in, if they don't they don't. We don't care either way..."

What's funny is that the Hack a Jordan let them back in the game. So he's right, they dont care either way.

Post the Clippers record since 2013 when DJ attempts 13+ bebe

Re: Doc Rivers on Jordan's FT shooting...
I see his point though. You don't want to overreact if he misses a couple in a row and take him out. Play the percentages, and he's near 50%. Plus your starters are getting a breather when he's at at he line. I think they made the right move keeping him in. Eventually, they started dropping, and the Clippers cut the lead down.
It is a shame that if he made a couple more free throws, the Clips would have won.

I think it's more in the sense that they don't take it personally when DJ shoots badly, since they're already used to it (and can't do a damn thing about it anyway).

Re: Doc Rivers on Jordan's FT shooting...
When the Spurs did Hack-a-Asik against the Pelicans, after like 3 fouls they took him out and proceeded to violate the Spurs. Don't know why you leave Jordan in that situation. It's not the points per possession, it kills the flow for the other players.

It wouldn't help Jordan to have added pressure on him from his coach. Doc knows his players I'd guess.

I'm not debating the numbers when Jordan gets FT attempts, I'm saying at it's base a coach should care if his player's free throws aren't dropping.

In this case, it allowed the Clippers starters to catch a breathe, since our bench is among the worst in the playoffs.

They have Davis to protect the rim.
Clips have Spencer Hawes.

That honestly is probably true. I actually like Jordan and think he has the potential to be the best center in the league if he improves his FT shooting.
His defense, efficiency, and rebounding are top notch.

That is a bit out of context. His point was that he cares more about decision making of his players rather than whether their shots go in or out. It is the same mentality as letting 3 point shooters continue shooting even when they are cold. Coaches worry more about bad decisions than good decisions that happen to not work out.

misleading since teams tend to only employ the strategy when they're losing.

If he was making them, they wouldn't have fouled him.
