A part of me has died without Kobe...
My life has been very problematic, depressing, and i've considered suicide throughout most of my life. One of the things that kept me going was, watching Kobe Bryant play the game of basketball. For those two hours and thirty minutes, I left my problems and lived vicariously through the most skilled player I have ever seen. At 6'6-6'7 and 205-220, Kobe, along with MJ, are the smallest players in the top 10 all time and they made it with superior skill. Some players were blessed with dominant size, but Kobe worked hard for his ability. Harder than most. Harder than pretty much anyone. That's why Kobe's career is simply one of the more respectable of all time. I say top 10 to not ruffle any feathers, but he's definitely a top 5 player of all time.
Point being, I miss him. I miss the paradise Kobe takes me to. I miss the vacation. I know this is just basketball to some of you, but this is life to me. Kobe Bryant has helped me in a much deeper sense. I know it may all be over for Kobe's basketball career and it's hard for me to accept.
Long live the Bean.

Is that part of you your erection?

Re: A part of me has died without Kobe...
if you don't play the game of basketball yourself
you should know that with this mindset.
you probably won't enjoy basketball again until much older in your life.
if you make it that far.

People can laugh and joke at this post, but it was real, from the heart and I would wager 99 percent of Kobe fans who post on message boards have a similar background. It explains a lot, actually.
