Farthest a team went with one All-Star?
I realized that the Blazers were the only team of the final 4 teams that has just one all-star. When was the last time a team with just one all-star made the WCFs or ECFs?
I'm not talking about a team with one all-star and some vets that made the all-star team years before. I'm talking about 1 all-star and no one else on the team has any all-star experience.
Damian Lillard is the only one I can think of that took a team this far. I'm not sure it's ever been done before this year.

Re: Farthest a team went with one All-Star?
Detroit Pistons 2004, zero all-stars.
2011 Dallas Mavericks, Dirk, won it all without another all-star currently on the team./
Edit: nevermind, you want no other all-star experience except one player. lol

Re: Farthest a team went with one All-Star?
To be fair, other players who have had vets past their prime took their teams to championship runs with less.
For example, C.J. McCollum is a legit 21/4/4 player that shoots like 48/40/90.
C.J. has all-star talent.
Dirk...when he won in 2011 had no one close to McCollum's offensive prowess. It was Dirk...then the second scorer was like Jason Terry, or Kidd or Marion or Caron Butler. They had no clear second option.

Terry wasn't in his prime and was well past it. He wasn't the player then that C.J. is now. Terry was simply open for a ton of threes and he made those shots. Terry was not an all-star talent that year anyway.

Off the top of my head, those PG led Pacer teams.
David West was previously an all star in the West but he hadn't been selected for like 3-4 years.
Gosh the East is shit.

CJ wouldn't have done that
I don't think Lebron guarded Jason Terry in 2011
*kennus will proceed on showing one play*

Kittles, Van Horn, and Martin were never all-stars. If true that's impressive.

Yeah but still. Davis West means it doesn't qualify. Davis West was actually still pretty good on the Warriors. Didn't they have Hibbert too? I think he was an all-star.

2016 Cavaliers had one All-Star, won it all. Against a 73 win team no less.

Wtf are you talking about? Love and Kyrie? Is there some trolling about that team and Lebron having no help?
Sounds like J Kidd did something but I don't think anyone ever did it in the stacked west.

Titles are overrated
Re: Farthest a team went with one All-Star?
In 03 David Robinson was a former all star along the lines of how Mutombo was on the Rockets. He was clearly not near an all star player. He put up like 7/7 in 20ish minutes a game on that title run. If you want to count him and ignore the spirit of being an all star so be it.
Cj is in fact better than plenty of all stars though. Having Bj Armstrong, Jamal Magloire, or even Jrue Holiday(who I do like) doesn’t make your team more talented than CJ.
He’s an all star level player which is all that matters.
Not making it means as much as Lilliard not making it in 16 and 17.
We saying Tom Chambers had no all star help when he took the suns to the wcf because 20/12 KJ wasn’t technically an all star yet?
KJ was the teams best player. Chambers was his all star help really.
We counting that because it’s technically fitting?
