Default The best single game stat lines ever (of various types)

Which are the best statistical games of all time (since 1984 actually, basketballreference.com only goes back to 1984)?

Tell me your top 3 out of these games. Feel free to add in your own games if you know of any that are better.

I'll break em down into loose categories too to help organize things.

Best 50 point triple doubles: :

    Lebron James: 52 points, 9 reb, 11 ast on .629 TS% (17/33 FG, 16/19 FT)

    Larry Bird: 49 points, 14 reb, 12 ast on .622TS% (19/35 FG, 9/10 FT)

...there were no true 50/10/10 games. These two were the best ones out of the handful that came close.

    Best 40pt/10reb/10ast games

    Barkley: 43 points, 15 reb, 10 ast on .801 TS% (16/22 FG, 11/11 FT)

    T-mac: 46 pts, 10 reb, 13 ast on .703 TS%(16/27 FG, 11/13 FT)

    Highest scoring games ever

    Kobe Bryant: 81 points, 6 reb, 2 ast on .739 TS% (28/46 FG, 18/20 FT)

    MJ: 69 points, 18 reb, 6 ast on .732 TS% (23/37 FG, 21/23 FT) * in OT

    Best 60 point game

    Karl Malone: 61 points, 18 reb, 2 ast on .844 TS% (21/26 FG, 19/23 FT)

Most Efficient 50 point plus game ever

    MJ: 52 points, 9 reb, 1 ast on .845 TS% (24/29 FG, 4/4 FT)

(FYI, Karl Malone's 61 point game above this was the second most efficient 50 plus point game ever)

Most Efficient 40 point plus game ever

    Cedric Ceballos: 40 points, 12 reb, 2 assists on .986 TS% (14/15 FG, 12/12 FT)...wow

Best 60 point and 20 rebound game

    Shaq: 61 points, 23 reb, 3 ast on .683 TS% (24/35 FG, 13/22 FT)

...this is the only 60 pt/20 reb game ever actually. And the efficiency is pretty good too.

    40 points and 20 assists

    Magic: 39 points, 17 ast, 5 reb on .750 TS% (15/20 FG, 9/10 FT) (and 5 turnovers)

...there were no true 40 pt/20 ast games. So I chose out of the games that were very close to it, and Magic's one here had the best overall numbers.

Best 30 pt, 20 ast, and 10 reb game

    Majic: 29 points, 21 ast, 9 reb on .807 TS%(8/14, 9/9) (and 2 turnovers)

...there were only about 8 games (7 by Magic, 1 by CP3) to really come close to being a 30, 20, and 10 game. And the above was the most efficient one. There was one true 30/20/10 game, by Magic, but the shooting efficiency wasn't close to as great as the one above, and he had 7 turnovers in it as opposed to 2 in the game above .

    20 points and 30 assists

Scott Skiles: 22 points, 30 assists, 6 reb on .684TS% (and 4 turnovers)

...this is the only game of its kind. Nice TS% too, and only 4 turnovers on 30 assists is very impressive.

    40 pts, 10 reb, 10 blocks

    D. Robinson: 43 points, 12 reb, 10 blocks on .754 TS% (14/21, 15/15)

...there have only been two 40/10/10 games like this. Both were by D. Robinson. The above one is the better one (better shooting efficiency).

    20 pts, 20 reb, 10 blocks

    Dream: 32 pts, 25 reb, 10 blocks on .597 TS%(10/18 FG, 12/20 FT)

    O'neal: 24 points, 28 reb, 15 blocks on .617 TS%(12/19 FG, O/1 FT)

    30/10/10/10 (wow)

    D Rob: 34 points, 10 reb, 10 ast, 10 blocks on .619 TS%(12/20, 10/17)

...this is the ONLY 30/10/10/10 game. The shooting efficiency isn't bad either.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the best of all the different types of great stat lines. This was the most work I've ever done for a thread.

I myself really like the Malone 60 point game with 18 rebounds and amazing shooting efficiency...

    Karl Malone: 61 points, 18 reb, 2 ast on .844 TS% (21/26 FG, 19/23 FT)

I never even knew about this game and it is an amazing stat line. He could not miss and dominated the boards.

How can the best 50 point triple double not be a triple double?

This was also ridiculous. He couldn't miss, dominated the boards, and had 10 assists (so he contributed to 63 points on offense total).

The categories are here only to organize things. There were no true 50/10/10 games, and so i listed the best two that came close.

...just as i did for the 40p/20a category, and the 30p/20a/20r category.

    50 point triple doubles:

Lebron vs Knicks 52 pts, 10 rebs, 11 assists.... screw the league for robbing away 1 rebound after 3 days, it WAS a triple double... http://www.aolnews.com/2009/02/04/le...son-square-ga/ That questionable rebound could have gone to Wallace or Lebron, both grabbed it at the same time, Lebron had the possession, they said 3 days later Wallace "gave" it to Lebron... whatever the case, leave the boxscore as it was called ffs, its just one god damn rebound, are they seriously sitting there 24-7 and thoroughly watching if everybody accurately got their assists, steals, rebounds, blocks and so on.... i dont think so.... but they did it this time.... while at it why not also give back 2 points to him for dunking the ball of a guys head for example? I just think its lame...

I know Kareem Abdul Jabbar had one in 1974-75 aswell... i learned this from the commentators when Lebron did the 50 point triple double above (nobody since 1974-75 had a 50 point triple double)

...and ofcourse, Wilt Chamberlain im sure had a couple...

...actually this was basically the only 50 point triple doubles (Bird had another one, but the one above had the better overall numbers).

    http://ballislife.com/history-of-the-quadruple-double/

"Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (1975): 50 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists – Only once in the history of the game has a player scored 50 points as part of a triple-double, and this is it. It would’ve been topped in February of 2009 had the league not taken away one of LeBron James’s rebounds in a game where he also scored 52 points and dished out 11 dimes. But since we can’t count that, we turn to Kareem, who might’ve made the list anyway with this showing. "

Only once in history.... so basically what Lebron did in 2009 was equal to like somebody tying Wilts 100 point game.... but was robbed, for 1 point...

Lebron had to be added just because he's Lebron.

Clyde Drexler had two 20/10/10/9 games.
