Blazers suffer tough loss to the Magic
A six-game trip that LaMarcus Aldridge labeled “make or break” has reached a breaking point for the Blazers (25-26), who lost their third consecutive game, fell to 1-3 on the trip and dropped below .500 for the first time since Jan 21. It’s one thing to lose to the smoldering-hot Houston Rockets. Even a road defeat at Dallas is palatable.
But a loss to Orlando? The Magic (15-36) had just lost 12 in a row — their longest losing streak since 2004 — and they had lost 23 of their last 25. Sunday night’s victory was only their third since Dec. 20.
“This one’s tough to deal with,” said Aldridge, who finished with 25 points, six rebounds and five assists.
