The lack of decent opposition for the All Blacks doesn't make him a great coach.

So you don't deny he's copying the Cal way?

How could the greatest coach ever be forced to copy... another coach?

LOL he just started recruiting one and done's a couple of years ago. That's been Calipari's M.O. for years and he still can't hold Coach K's clipboard.

He's proven that he can win either way.

Recruiting the best players isn't copying Cal, thats like saying finding a franchise quarterback is copying the New England Patriots. He just adapted to the times. Every coach at a top program besides Roy Williams is trying to recruit top 10 prospects.

I understand your animosity though, Coach K has gotten better at it then Coach Cal.

    Predictable response....

K hated the one and done rule. Suddenly, he's changed his tune.

Since Duke's most recent Final Four appearance ('04), UNC has been to the Final Four three times, with one title in the bag and another just 80 minutes away.

That's why Duke is back in the one-and-done business. Right or wrong, it's that simple.

    ####

Either by their own volition, or their own recruiting failures, Duke has avoided one-and-done recruits.

While Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski has been criticized for this decision, Ohio State's Thad Matta has been burned by it.

Ohio State freshman B.J. Mullens declared for the NBA Draft earlier this week. Since '06-'07, OSU has had five players (Greg Oden, Mike Conley Jr., DeQuan Cook Kosta Koufos and Mullens) leave after just one season.

No Duke players have left after one season over the same period.
He tried to act like Pitino... let me guess 'we want Duke first players' and 'we don't want to pander to the best of the best' and 'we want guys playing for names on the front of their jerseys and not the back'.

Pitino has said the same dumb shit for years until recently when all of a sudden, he's interested in talent.
