Question Would Giannis get respect if he joined with Luka and Anthony Davis?

Because that is basically what LeBron did in 2011. He joined with the 2nd and 4th highest ranked PER in the league....and he even ended up losing

So Bosh > Kobe in 2010?

PER is the same stat that thinks Hassan Whiteside is a hall of famer.

    Low IQ op strikes again.

PER is basically an aggregate of the box score.

So you guys trying to say box scores are meaningless now?....

Tread lightly little ones, you are entering dangerous territory

Some stats are useful. Which ones? Always the ones that have 'facts' which are useful for us in an argument. What? We don't have any such stats? No worries. We will come up with new 'advanced' stats. There is a reason we call them 'advanced'. They serve our goals. PER was once such a stat. not any more. We have GmScr now. Etc.

PER is all well and good, but it doesn't really reflect impact. LeBron, Wade, and Bosh's BPM in 2010: 12.5, 9.4, 2.7. Bosh was never close to being on LeBron and Wade's level regardless of being 4th in PER for the season.

No, he'd get laughed at just like Lebron.

If he then ended up winning with diminished versions of Luka/Davis, he'd get more credit, but still kind of be laughed at, again...like Lebron was...for stacking the deck.

Wouldn't make him a worse player though. If he's out there playing like an all-time great player...seems like we would still rate him as an all-time great player....because he is.

I’d like OP to tell me when Bosh has ever been close to AD or current Luka

Wade was way better than luka and current west >>> 2011-2014 east.

    The cowardice is still unprecedented.

People only pretend to think per accurately ranks players when it's convenient. They know they're full of shit.

At least it has Kobe Bryant nailed down pretty accurately

The media/fans would scold him like they did Lebron and anything short of a title would be seen as an utter failure, which 2011 was.

    Don't be crazy.

Luka is better offensively at 20 than Wade ever was.
