Default Starting Lineup and rotations predictions

This may be too early if another big trade is coming, but right now what is the best lineup the Knicks could start and who are the 6,7,8 (& 9th) man

    Calderon
    Jr smith
    Carmelo
    Smith
    Bargnani

    6-shumpert
    7-amare
    8-thj
    9- dalembert

I think the only other options are amare starting, or shumpert @ 2. You couldn't do both though; if shumpert starts then Jason smith and bargnani would have to. If Amare started jR would have to.

I have a strong feeling, that jr is outta here.

Sell low on your 2nd/3rd best player? Jr will have a huge season playing off ball in the triangle.

August 25. When Larkin, Ellington, dalembert can be in a trade package.

It's Hardaway. Sell high on your 8th man instead.

Again, I totally disagree with you. It's getting to be a habit. You love all the players I dislike.

If JR is still on this team thats going to weaken the bench and put Hardaway and Shump out of position another season. Shump has a lot to prove that he is worthy of minutes outside of defense.

    Caldy Prig Lark
    Hardaway JR Shump
    Melo Shump Early
    Bargs Stat Smith
    Dale Stat Smith

Jr on the team weakens the bench?

Any chance you could explain the reasoning in starting hardaway Jr?

Jr will take minutes away from Shump and Hardaway and force them into SF position.

Jr is a better player than hardaway or shumpert. He isn't taking minutes from them. If the role players can't fit into a role get a new role player. You don't fit the talent around the role players.

You've got to read a little better than this. You asked a question and I answered it. What you are saying is irrelevant.

    Calderon/shumpert
    Smith
    Carmelo

    Bargnani/smith
    ---------

    1- starting pf- 4 out of 5
    -elite athlete
    -elite shooter
    -versatile defender-or-team defender
    -rebounder
    -smart weak side offensive player

    -----------
    2- Then IMO you need a guard/wing shooter/big who can shoot (8-9-10)

    3-Forward defender/center/combo perimeter (11-12-13)

Jr smith starting is the first right thing they'll do.

He needs to practice and play with Carmelo and in a decreased demand role.

I don't understand the justification for sacrificing maximizing jr for 2 different 1 way players who should be the ones filling certain roles

Somebody please justify starting hard away- I just don't get it. He doesn't pass, dribble, or defend. He did run and finish hard last year, and shoot even better. That's a guy you bring off the bench.

    Right now

    Calderon/shumpert/prigioni/Larkin
    Smith/Hardaway
    Carmelo/cleanthony/outlaw
    Smith/acy
    Bargnani/amare/dalembert/Aldrich
