I'd nominate kobe for this, dude lives in newport coast which is pricey but not flashy. It's not no 50 million dollar house or anything and i've never heard of him going on a shopping spree or own any ridiculous vehicles. Pretty impressive considering he was one of the youngest NBA players without a college education.

Yeah he has. But in his defense, if you've ever had to run the 405 regularly and had his millions, you'd pop for the heli when you're running late too.

The 405 is traffic hell on earth.

Actually that's a smart investment on his part. His time is worth money and if he can make more appearances (commercials, endorsements, etc.) by avoiding LA traffic when possible, then it's money in his pocket.

Helicopters are expensive to us but spending a million dollars is not that big a deal for these guys. It's not like the price of a helicopter depreciates anywhere close to as rapidly as a car. The thing will be worth almost what he paid when it's time to get rid of it.
