Wade's blocks per game will also go down the longer he plays.

But there's a bigger difference between the two.

MJ plays defense much harder than Wade does. Wade tends to coast a ton, which allows him to come from weak side or go for blocks more. There was also more true big men back then, with actual true post up moves, with more clogged lanes.

Wade is great, second best shot blocking guard of all time which isn't a diss. But let us not get ahead of ourselves.
