It's a head thing.
Like the poster above me mentioned when something with your body is wrong the rest of your body might try to make up for it. All it takes is for one bad play to occur because something felt funny and then your brain puts you into the anti-zone. I've had days where shooting the ball became an adventure for me because it just would not feel right in my hands. It was literally like my hands forgot what a basketball was supposed to feel like coming out.
What keeps me from staying too frustrated is moving to another aspect of my game, not worrying about it. If my shooting doesn't feel right fine, I'll set picks and make passes. Not rebounding well fine, I'll stick to my cover and try to force bad shots. Passing, moving, etc.
