Today's team?

THE WASHINGTON WIZARDS

PG - Wall/Maynor/Temple
SG - Aly Mc Beal/Webster/Singleton/Rice Jr.
SF - Porter Jr./Trevor A.
PF - Nene/Trevor B./Al Buckets/Vesely
C - Emekafor/Seraphin

Head Coach - Randy Wittman
General Manager - Ernie Grunfeld

1. In March, John Wall averaged 22.4 points, 7.9 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.9 steals. Can John sustain that level of play? Or has he hit the preverbial "Wall"?
LOL preverbial Wall

2. "You can do it Otto, you can do it Otto! Help each other out, that'll be out motto. You can do it Otto! You can do it Otto!"Make this shot, I'll give you free gelato.""Get back to my place, where I will get you blotto! "Domo arigato, Mister roboto!"

I needed an excuse to post that Simpsons song, so tell me if you like the Porter pick.

3. YOU BETTER CZECH YOURSELF, BEFORE YOU WRECK YOURSELF: Would you label Jan Vesely, the 6th pick in the 2011 draft, a bust?

4. Al Buckets, Emekafor, Nene, Trevariza: Which veteran will have a great comeback year?

5. The Washington Wizards will make the playoffs this season.

Chris Singleton is not a guard. He's a PF in a SF's body.

LOL preverbial Wall

Probably wont be scoring that many points, but his level of play will be there, he's for real.

2. "You can do it Otto, you can do it Otto! Help each other out, that'll be out motto. You can do it Otto! You can do it Otto!"Make this shot, I'll give you free gelato.""Get back to my place, where I will get you blotto! "Domo arigato, Mister roboto!"

He's a great fit for their roster right now, but I feel they should've picked one of the bigs instead (Len, Noel, Zeller). Nene/Okafor aren't there for the long run, and its hard to pass on talented bigs in the draft. Porter is a safe pick, but I don't think he's the best pick.

3. YOU BETTER CZECH YOURSELF, BEFORE YOU WRECK YOURSELF: Would you label Jan Vesely, the 6th pick in the 2011 draft, a bust?

I hope the Wiz give him more run this season. This is his last chance to prove he's not a bust. I think he has what it takes, very athletic, good defensive fundamentals, great motor. His play is beyond his numbers.

4. Al Buckets, Emekafor, Nene, Trevariza: Which veteran will have a great comeback year?

None.

Nene will do his usual stuff, Okafor is out indefinitely, I don't think Harrington will get much run, he and Ariza might get traded mid-season.

5. The Washington Wizards will make the playoffs this season.

Yes.

1. In March, John Wall averaged 22.4 points, 7.9 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.9 steals. Can John sustain that level of play? Or has he hit the preverbial "Wall"?
--He's not good enough and/or his first name isn't uncommon enough to call him John. You either need to have a name like Kobe and LeBron or be as good as Michael or Larry to be on a first name basis by the general NBA, imo.

--Long term, I think he was the best prospect in the draft. Maybe behind Noel (who I still think will become Noah-like), but I do like him above the other top wing prospects like Dipo and McLemore. It's difficult to judge a Georgetown non-big prospect because of their system. There's a good quote from an NBA scout back in the 80s or 90s who shared the same sentiment regarding these slow down, very restrained, systems. Wish I could remember it. Actually, it could be recent now that I think about it.

3. YOU BETTER CZECH YOURSELF, BEFORE YOU WRECK YOURSELF: Would you label Jan Vesely, the 6th pick in the 2011 draft, a bust?
--Up to this point, how could he not be labeled a bust? He was a high pick and his shitty team has still been unwilling to give him playing time. You have to really suck if that happens.

4. Al Buckets, Emekafor, Nene, Trevariza: Which veteran will have a great comeback year?
--I have always liked Nene. Other than health, I could never figure out why he wasn't better. I'll continue to ride the Nene bus until he retires.

5. The Washington Wizards will make the playoffs this season.
--I think so. I like them better than Cleveland for next season if Wall keeps up his play and Porter isn't complete garbage.

1. In March, John Wall averaged 22.4 points, 7.9 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.9 steals. Can John sustain that level of play? Or has he hit the preverbial "Wall"?
A -- I believe that he can, but maybe not this year. Still grow

2. I needed an excuse to post that Simpsons song, so tell me if you like the Porter pick.
A -- Ask me again in 3 years.

3. YOU BETTER CZECH YOURSELF, BEFORE YOU WRECK YOURSELF: Would you label Jan Vesely, the 6th pick in the 2011 draft, a bust?
A -- ... Like this time frame. So far he has been. Shown flashes, but who hasn't? Show me something this year!

4. Al Buckets, Emekafor, Nene, Trevariza: Which veteran will have a great comeback year?
A -- Nene, sort of by default. He's a very solid player, and has played well when he's been on the court.. but can he remain healthy?

5. The Washington Wizards will make the playoffs this season.
A -- True!

I don't think he'll put up those stats, but he's been getting better every year and is still young.

2. "You can do it Otto, you can do it Otto! Help each other out, that'll be out motto. You can do it Otto! You can do it Otto!"Make this shot, I'll give you free gelato.""Get back to my place, where I will get you blotto! "Domo arigato, Mister roboto!"

Good pick, safe pick. If they keep their back-court together they'll be contending soon.

3. YOU BETTER CZECH YOURSELF, BEFORE YOU WRECK YOURSELF: Would you label Jan Vesely, the 6th pick in the 2011 draft, a bust?

Yeah, looks like it. I didn't like the pick at the time, but he wasn't really given the chance and II can't see him getting one this year.

4. Al Buckets, Emekafor, Nene, Trevariza: Which veteran will have a great comeback year?

None will have a "comeback" year. Okafor is out, Nene has been steady the last few years, I doubt Ariza plays and Al is solid with however many minutes you give him.

5. The Washington Wizards will make the playoffs this season.

They're in the mix, but without having seen a game played it's hard to say. I think the Cavs, Wiz, Pistons, Atlanta, Toronto and maybe even the Bucks or Cats will be playing for seeds 6, 7, 8. Out of those I rank them; Cavs>Pistons>Hawks>Wiz>Raps>Cats>Bucks.

A big issue this year is Seraphin, especially with Okafor out. He has lot of talent but his IQ is lacking and his rebounding is horrible.

Vesely doesn't belong in the NBA. Not worth discussing.

LOL preverbial Wall

maybe at his very peak, he could put up those numbers for a season, but not this year.

i do think this will be his break out year though.

2. "You can do it Otto, you can do it Otto! Help each other out, that'll be out motto. You can do it Otto! You can do it Otto!"Make this shot, I'll give you free gelato.""Get back to my place, where I will get you blotto! "Domo arigato, Mister roboto!"

i like it. he was productive in college, seems like a cerabral and hard working player, so im pretty sure he will find a way to fit in with washingtons other pieces, and be productive.

3. YOU BETTER CZECH YOURSELF, BEFORE YOU WRECK YOURSELF: Would you label Jan Vesely, the 6th pick in the 2011 draft, a bust?

yep. he might get it together but id be shocked if he ever becomes an average starter or better.

4. Al Buckets, Emekafor, Nene, Trevariza: Which veteran will have a great comeback year?

nene

okafor is out for a while to start the year, and the other 2 dont seem to care about basketball much anymore.

5. The Washington Wizards will make the playoffs this season.

yes

they have been fun, but them ending just means the season is about to start.

Re: ISH's FIVE QUESTIONS: Washington Wizards Edition

If porter starts over Webster I'm kidnapping Whitman's family.

Wall gonna kill it this year

I don't watch college ball cause it sucks a lot of dick so I don't know about porter, just know he's know Webster

Vesely is garbage and doesn't deserve to live in America

I forgot your other question

Okafor being out hurts a lot but they should still be 7th or 8th
