lakers hurting their prestige with all the "stay dwight" bs?

it's a privilege the play for the lakers. they're the team that superstars move to. their reputation and past accomplishments speak for itself. if a player doesn't embrace their rich history and culture while being offered max money, why go out of your way to convince him to stay?

let the f*cker walk and ride with players who actually want to be lakers

Lakers should forget about it. NO team is competing with Brooklyn!

I hope you are poisoned, stuck by lightning, run over by a car, and feasted upon by vultures, preferably in that order, but, hell, I'd go for just three of the four in an order of your choosing too.

It's humiliating. Dwight isn't good enough for the Lakers to have to beg.

Absolutely,When I first saw the billboard I thought it was a joke and photoshopped to be like one of those Cleveland billboards for Lebron to stay.

It's pretty embarassing and desperate and this is coming from a longtime Laker fan.

I absolutely want him to stay though and compete for championships next year and for the foreseeable future. It would be lame to leave after one year with a team where he was injured the whole season, caused a lot of drama, and then had a very poor(for Dwight) post season.

It's embarrassing, begging Dwight fvcking Howard of all players to stay. :facepalm

I just hope they don't make one so big I can see it from my house.

Honestly, as a Lakers fan, I'm embarrassed by the Lakers' desperation. D12 is not worth the trouble. F*ck having him for a max deal, likely struggling to learn post moves, likely losing his athletic abilities by the age of 30, and most likely not leading any squad to a championship. "But what about 2009? He got to the Finals." People don't give credit to the role players unless they're mocking Kobe's 5 rings. Dwight was surrounded by great complimentary characters.
Since he's proven himself to be a bitch & everyone who has played with him in Orlando now hate him, I doubt any team can put together a roster that'll respect Dwight as a leader.

Lakers need to stop stroking this MFer's ego. If he wants to walk, let him. He likely can't handle the pressure of playing under Wilt, Kareem & Shaq's shadows.

Jerry Buss is dead and with his death the lakers reputation and past accomplishments died along with him. Jim the cancer Buss is now in charge and nobody wants to play for a self centered and inept buffoon like him.

I don't even know a laker fan that still wants Dwight. He doesn't have the mental makeup to win a title in LA. He can't handle the pressure and scrutiny. Lakers would be better off starting over.

I wonder how embarrassed their their front office are of their own fans right now. Knowing full well they cannot get anyone else right now with their salary cap being blown on Kobe's 30 MILLION and Gasol's 20 MILLION. They traded away Bynum (lol didn't play a single game) for a one year rental of Howard? What future do they have to look foward to other than cap space?

Last year was a disaster and now Kobe stans on their knees sucking their gawd's diq so hard that they are driving an elite player away so no blame can go on their gawd.

:facepalm
