Not better, just different. While they've improved in certain areas, they've gotten worse in others.

The death of the midrange shot is the biggest difference i've noticed the last few years. It's been dying gradually, but most recently it seems like all teams want to do now is spread the floor and heave 3-point shots back and forth.

The NBA is beginning to resemble the college game and i don't consider that a good thing.

better? how come half these ni66as cant do simple drop steps.. pivots.. post moves.. etc? 96% of bigmen in the NBA are garbage.

dont even get me started on dudes like kwame brown, smush parker, etc.

Nope.. This is not the 90s, 80s, 70s, 60s or 50s era anymore were basketball skills were still in developing stage.. The game was already at its peak during the 2000-2010 era.. People will always remember that as the best..

Does your opinion have anything to do with the fact that the man who's name you use as your username played in that era?

Better athletes yeah but fundamentally this has to be the dumbest crop of stars I've seen in awhile.

Im not trying to say that era was the best because Kobe was there.. It just happened that Kobe played in that era.. Coincidence? Maybe.. :confusedshrug: Even if Kobe didnt played in that era, I think people would still choose that era as the best..

The league is not a new league. This is not the 50s and early 60s. After a while the league only gets better or worst from era to era depending on its stars and expansion. New stars are not born with the skills of a Jordan, they have to develop their games. Can't just simply copy them, and their deep understanding of the game.

The rule changes also allows for more running, and chances to showcase athleticism.

lol

Explains why Timmy D is still dominating fools at 37.

Kobe still one of the best in the league at 34.

Along with plenty of other examples.

You got more athleticism on average, still the advances in medicine and so on contribute a whole lot to that, but your statement if definitely false.

Pretty much this.

Skills always pay the bills.

What a stupid statement.

Just like what SHAQisGOAT said, please explain how Kobe & Tim D are able to dominate against guys a decade younger than them?

Odds are that LeBron's skill set won't be duplicated either by future generations. Replicated? Sure. Duplicated? Most likely never.

Same with Michael Jordan, who definitely could've been just as good as he was back in the day if he started playing today in his prime age.

GTFO here with this garbage.
