Luxury limit is about $70m.

If Coach Pop was a free agent and your team could sign him, what is the most you would pay to get him?

For the Clips, I'd pay him $15m/year.

Reason being is he seems to have the ability to make $2-$3m/year guys look like $10m guys... he'd pay for himself.

I think you´d rather pay for all their talent in the FO/scouting. They simply draft/trade like machines. Look at the Spurs history, look at Presti (I think he wanted Parker back then) in OKC, look at the guy in Orlando. With the talent these guys drafted, recently traded for, put them on one team and they win the last 15 championships. That´s so good, poor Pop would be out of a job, because Phil Jackson would want to coach them.

SG Ginobili/Harden/Afflalo
SF Durant/Leonard
PF Ibaka/Scola/Harris
C Duncan/Vucevic/Splitter

Obvisouly Pop is a great coach and molds roleplayers for his system to perfection, but the foundation is Duncan, Parker and Ginobili. Sure they can survive the odd game without them, but it all comes back to them over the long run.

The FO may be good but pop is the one that molds the players into his system.

No coach does it better.

You'd get more out of every player and players would sign w your team for less i bet

No more than one million for any coach if they counted against the cap. I'd rather spend the money on players. Spo proved last year that if you have star talent any schmuck with a suit can coach a champion. No offense to Pop as i'd call him the best coach in NBA history, second at worst.

Coaching can and often does make a difference. No coach would make a champion out of the present-day Kings, sure. On the other hand, it's not by accident D'Antoni was COY but never got to the Finals.
