Is the Blazers bench the worst in the NBA?
This was prompted after I was looking at the Lakers bench vs Crawford thread. I don't know if the Blazers bench is the worst or not, but they are certainly competing for that title if it isn't theirs.
Here is the scoring totals for their bench for the season (top bench scorer in parentheses): 10/31: 13 points (Pavlovic with 7) 11/2: 15 points (Babbitt with 8) 11/3 (OT): 6 points (Barton with 5) 11/5: 17 points (Leonard with 6) 11/8: 22 points (Leonard with 8) 11/10: 4 points (Leonard & Pavlovic each with 2) 11/12: 6 points (Leonard with 4) 11/13: 19 points (Price with 8) 11/16 (OT): 10 points (Leonard with 8) 11/18: 16 points (Price with 10) 11/21: 13 points (Price & Nolan each with 3) 11/23: 9 points (Price with 3) Best game: 22 points (only game over 20) Worst game: 4 points Best individual in a game: Price with 10 points Average game: 12.5 points Top scorer: Meyers Leonard with 4.3ppg Additional stats: Leonard is the top rebounder on the bench with 3.7rpg Price is the top assist man with 1.5apg Joel Freeland (who was expected to be one of our top contributors from the bench) is currently 1 for 16 from the field (usually wide the f*ck open). That is 6.3% FG. |

yes.

Re: Is the Blazers bench the worst in the NBA?
You should change the thread title to "Is the Blazers bench the worst ever in the NBA?"
Yeah it's that bad. |
Re: Is the Blazers bench the worst in the NBA?
Minus AJ, the Laker bench is not very strong either.

Re: Is the Blazers bench the worst in the NBA?
Only Will Barton and Elliot Williams has some potential but Barton still a rookie and Elliot is Greg Oden light. How much of cap space we will have this summer? Any upcoming free agents we are interest in?

Re: Is the Blazers bench the worst in the NBA?
Unfortunately yes. This Blazers team could make some noise with a serviceable bench.

We full healthy a bench of steve blake, jodie meeks, antawn jamison, & jordan hill is not bad at all throw in darius morris who could get some burn because of how well he's playing in a starting role and that's not a bad bench at all...solid enough to hold leads at least |
Re: Is the Blazers bench the worst in the NBA?
To think 5 years ago Pavlovic (when he was never even good) was the 2nd/3rd option on the Cavs finals team , wow Lebron did good

Re: Is the Blazers bench the worst in the NBA?
Who cares really? Itīs much easier to find a bench than five starters that click. Meyers-Leonard is definitely talented enough to be a starter eventually. Hickson is decent, so they need 3-4 more quality bench players. Thatīs easier to finde than having a great bench and looking for two starters.

Re: Is the Blazers bench the worst in the NBA?
yes they are. babbit and leonard are like the only good players off the bench.
edit: scratch that, leonard is the only good player off the blazer's bench. babbit is useless if he is not wide open. |
Re: Is the Blazers bench the worst in the NBA?
Yeah, makes ours look respectable.

Ilgauskas, Hughes,Gooden, Donyell Marshall and even Damon Jones were more important offensively than Pavlovic. :coleman: |

I agree that Hickson is decent, but he is a starter for us. Love his hustle. Averaging a double double so far! |

Re: Is the Blazers bench the worst in the NBA?
The Cavs bench sucks, too. Not saying it's worse than the Blazers bench, but the Cavs bench is awful.
Boobie Gibson, C.J. Miles, Donald Sloan, Omri Casspi, Lon Leuer, Samardo Samuels, and Tyler Zeller. The only two serviceable players I've seen are Gibson and Zeller, and Gibson is only useful if he's on, and Zeller is a rookie. |
