if steve nash misses a significant amount of time. what are kobes mvp chances

on a scale of 1-10?

i say about an 8 considering lebron just won it and westbrook is stealing durants "thunder"

whats the longest tenured mvp? i'm guessing karl malone in 1999 in his 14th season

without nash kobe might average 27/6/8

it's all about is %s for me...I know he'll average at least 26/5/5..but if his %s stay at least 50/40/90 and the lakers are fight their way to a top seed then I don't see why he's not a favorite

1. Who says you cant win it again after winning it the previous year? Lebron is still being the statistical beast he is while most likely leading Miami to top seeding in the ECF (towards the end of teh season) with a lacklustre Wade.

2. Westbrook stealing Durants thunder? What about the likelihood of Howard stealing Kobes thunder as the season draws on?

I still think Kobe has a top 3 chance, but it will most likely be Lebrons to lose.

Depends on Dwight Howard. When he's at 100% he's clearly a better player than Kobe Bryant.

If Lakers somehow bounce back and grab top seed in west and Kobe maintains elite efficiency+big raw numbers he will win it.

I don't think nash coming back will hinder kobes game all too much...as for the mvp it all depends what kind of record the lakers have and if kobe maintains his play for the whole season...if the lakers can get at least a top 3 seed and kobe puts up like 28 6 and 5 or somethin close to that then its plausible that he can win mvp

for the record its way too early for mvp talk...lets at least wait til all star break to seriously talk about the mvp...i remember ray as an mvp candidate back in 05 up to december and he ended up finished 8th in voting :lol

If he keep up being the best player till season end then he should win it even without the best record and if he dont then MVP is rigged again for LeBron..

What the hell you talking about, you sound like a baby. Lebron should still win MVP this is year, because he is clearly a better player than Kobe at this stage of their careers. Little whiny f**got.

Being the best player doesn't equate winning MVP.

MVP's are typically reserved for a top seeded team's elite player unless a player has some ridiculously productive season.
