those are awesome offensive numbers.
now here are the gray areas you conveniently left out:
Marbury 4TO
Francis 5TO 0/6 FG
Frye 2-10 FG 3 TO
nothing bad to say about QRich he was the man.
Curry 5TO 6PF
and giving up 116 points or something like that.
but anythin gbetter than last year's diaster is a good thing.
STFU, this is way worse. are you even watching the game? the last 20 shots were taken by crawford and he maybe hit 2. richardson didn't get a shot off yet and he got 27 on 13 shots. curry was mad too, grizz dont have a big man
My point wasn't to say the Knicks are any better than those teams. My point is that all this talk was going on during the game. Rather than simply watch and enjoy a triple OT game people focused on the negatives of the Knicks. They didn't even wait for the final score.
Final score, 118-117. It wasn't pretty but its a win.
In Triple OT, yeah they gave up 116. However, Im impressed with their effort, they sorta grinded it out, played decent defense. I know the Grizz don't have Pau, but they're still a good team.
Playoffs!!!
I Left out Francis and Frye for a reason, played horrible.
Francis had 5 assist and 4 rebounds with 2 points. He better step it up before nate takes his spot.
And Frye, Horrible shot selections. Sucked ass
Knicks 2-0, they will beat the Hawks.
LOL We still won though. At least we didn't roll over and died like we would've done in year's past.
Houston Made the Biggest mistake when they traded Rudy Gay for Battier
Knicks win!
Nets fan or Knicks fan?
Yeah, I pretty much got owned. But still, they should have lost this game with the way they played, especially Crawford.
I do not like this team! I love the franchise, but this current roster I just can't stand. I want them to lose every single game.
If they switched coaches the Knicks would have won by 25.
How does Mike Miller miss that shot tho? The best look you can get.
So they blew a 19 point lead, it happens, they were on the road, the important thing is they fought the Grizzlies off(even though the Grizzlies were really fired up) and won the game.
How does Mike Miller miss that shot tho? The best look you can get.
Q-rich is a good defender, do your research BROTHA!!
Q-rich is a good defender, do your research BROTHA!!
Had nothing to do with defense. Mike Miller got seperation and a good look. Close range, squared up and shot the ball. His shot wasnt contested for a block or nothing. He just flat out missed it. Get your mind right.
This thread is unbelievably retarded...
If they switched coaches the Knicks would have won by 25.
I don't see how you can come to that conclusion.
Q-rich is a good defender, do your research BROTHA!!
ironic how QRich was brought to the Knicks as a 3 point specialist, then under Larry Brown mysteriously became a "defensive specialist."
I guess when you put crap next to trash, it looks like gold.
I think you have to evaluate teams regardless of opponent and regardless of outcome. You can win and play poorly and you can lose playing well. I guess, once we get into the season, some teams are measuring sticks (SA, Pho, Dall), but basically, worry about yourself...
The Knicks did the following things that were good:
1. Moved the ball. They moved the ball for about 3.5 quarters with good success. Q shot the ball well, he was also open alot. It was from ball movement.
2. Showed some depth. Francis, Marbury, and Curry went down with fouls and the K still played better in the OT. I would sya of the 3 OT's, the KNicks played better in 2 of them.
3. Made a big defensive play. This is not a good defensaive team, we all know that. They have ot make some defensive plays, the game last night was decided on a defensive play, Crawfords straight-up steal. (Curry also had a nasty block)
4. Marbury played well and under control. Yesterday's Marbury was superstar, max-contract, build your franchise around him Marbury.
5. Despite poor D, generally, the locked up Mem's best shooter (Miller) and forced the other guys to beat them.
The Knicks did the following things that were bad:
1. Panicked and went one-on-one, hoisting bad shots, when things got tough in the 4th. All the things that have been bad about the knicks for 5 years were present last night.
2. They didn't run. They didn't run because the couldn't defend and when they did defend, they really didn't rebound well. All the things that have been bad about the knicks for 5 years were present last night.
3. Jamal Crawford's final shot(s). Nobody freezes the ball the Crawford. You'd think coming out of training camp and a timeout, the team would have a very good idea about what they wanted ot do with the game on the line. Obviously, they did not.
4. Renaldo showed that he is not ready for prime-time. 3 fouls in 5 minutes. Nice energy, but not ready.
5. Francis. Oh, Francis. I used to be a fan, but Marb was too effective with the ball for you to be effective. This will never work, and that's sad.
New York's got to see if they can get something - anything - of value for Francis.
Francis, Crawford and Frye took the dumbest shot selections.
Crawford the most, He was throwing up some high school bull****.
Good shooters continue to shoot but he had to know when to stop lol when your 3-20 you can call it quits. why not give the ball to q rich.
Nate Robinson is just known for his dunking, he needs to be known for his defense, his shooting and his penetration. Got to the hole whenever.
Frye shot 2 threes? Frye better watch his spot.. DAVID LEE

He shut him down, watch the game.

He's also a good defender and rebounder too.

The last play of the game was replayed daily. How was Mike Miller shut down on that play and why does one need to watch the entire game? :confusedshrug:
Oops you're an idiot poster. Nevermind.
Miller got a decent look, but the Knicks took him out of the game throughout. It wasthe 4+3 quarters of forcing him into uncomfortable shots and rotating to him that eventually took its toll and made him miss.
New York's got to see if they can get something - anything - of value for Francis.
U think Minnie would trade for him?

Mike lost his shot during all of the second half thanks to q-rich and the knicks D.
U think Minnie would trade for him?
Not anymore. Last year? Yeah. Now? We've got James, Hudson, Jaric, Foye, Davis, McCants, Hassell, and Reed at 1-3. Two of them would have to move for us to get Francis, and you've got to think that one of them would have to be Hudson.

I see your point for the most part but I have to disagree with these to a degree.
The Knicks ran for almost 3 quarters. Since your eyes saw things differently than mine I'll point to the 30 fastbreak points off of 13 Memphis turnovers as evidence.
They stopped running because the refs started calling the game differently mid-way thru the third. The game changed on them and they struggled to adjust properly.
Which lead to the one on one's and bad shots. The Knicks guards, much like Memphis' guards, were able to get into the lane more or less at will. The Knicks started focusing their attack on this but couldn't finish once they got a reasonably good look.
still lol'ing
