Tonight's episode was great. The acting is amazing
Got to get onto this series.. just finished Game of Thrones and Supernatural.
The main actress is incredible.
I mainly want to watch it because it's got the main actor of my favorite TV series of all time.
I downloaded and watched the first season in two days I was so hooked. Caught up to this season so far,
(possible spoiler)
even though I expected the situation with Brody to happen there was still a part of me that believed he was going to play hardball and not cooperate.
SPOILER IN WHITE DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED IT
was the person that Finn ran over of any importance? I wonder what happens with that.
Definitely the best show on right now. I'm completely bored with Boardwalk Empire this season. As said, the acting in Homeland is amazing, it very much feels like a movie.

last night's episode was BOREDwalk empire or maybe sleepwalk empire.
Love the Homeland, will be interesting to see if Brody tries to play both sides.
I dont know how good it will be from this point on considering everything is out.
I will say this the show has been great at twist so it will be fun to see where it goes.

Yeah I was thinking the samething. The only person I think he's commited to at this point is himself and that's what he's going to make his decisions based off of.

I think it was just something random. But still may lead to trouble.
Best episode of the series so far, this show is turning into 24. :oldlol:

No.
Watch the preview for the next episode, it has the 24 vibe! It even has stupid secondary plot like the VP son's accident just like Kim Bauer adventures.
Started watching it last week and caught up already. Show is awesome. I'm really wondering what direction they are going to take after the last episode.
wtf was with that swat team? shit went action movie all of a sudden, that was awful.
There is obviously something fixed and the swat team is part of the "inside" job
Clearly. But a terrorist cell just blasted what, 7 CIA agents, in broad daylight at a shop in some little idyllic town and just walked straight out the front door, bodies over shoulders and shit. That's just not consistent with the tone of this show at all. AT ALL.
Plus they killed Carver from The Wire, dude only got like 2 scenes.
Yeah it was random lol I knew something was about to happen though when that part was happening, didn't expect that.
I'm not positive what was in that box, but I can't imagine whatever it was was more damning than openly killing 7 american CIA agents in broad daylight in full swat gear.
The implication is obviously to continue to play the mystery of Brody. Did he tip them off somehow? Are we sure which team he's playing on? But it definitely felt out of place.

Wait what the ****? Carver was there?
Great great
The SNL Homeland Skit with Anne Hathaway as Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison. Not the best link out there I'm sure, but I can't seem to find anything better.

I enjoyed last night. Felt like the whole point was really to pin Carrie continued presence onto the family by exposing her to the daughter. There's some nice morality play in there as well, but that seemed like the real purpose of the hit and run feeding into last nights episode.

I can't believe Brody revealed to his wife that he killed Tom. Its amazing how he twisted the whole thing. The wife and Mike think that the CIA is covering for Brody killing Tom, but the CIA don't even know that he did and Brody basically tells her that he did it for the CIA but it was actually for the enemy of the CIA. This way he actually gets both Mike and his wife off his back by somehow being able to actually justify killing Tom. Crazy shit.
By the way, I still can't imagine Brody not ending up with back on Abu Nazir's side instead of the CIA. It seems somehow impossible at this point just cause if he doesn't stick with the plan he's basically a publicly wanted man, which basically completely ends the whole secrecy theme, and if he's able to get back on their side while still making the CIA think he's on their side, that just makes the CIA look uncharacteristically dumber then we thought. But I just can't see it. I'm sure they will make it so in some unpredictable fashion, which is why this show is great.

So what would you have preferred instead? They walk in and pretend to guard the store. Then suddenly pull guns on everyone. Standoff, swat teams wins out. They retrieve whats inside the wall and then leave? You set up the scene for us. Curious how you wanted it to go down. Because that thing in the wall had to be retrieved by the terrorist and the one guy was on to it as we saw.

To me it basically went like this.
The CIA moved in on the store to search for anything suspicious. Nazir's group had vision on the store through the camera that we see the pseudo swat team carrying the case out of the store at the end of the scene.
They were likely sitting back, watching through the camera hoping the CIA didn't find the case and left so they didn't have to do anything. It wasn't there plan to attack anyone in that store.
Instead that guy Quinn started knocking on the wall the case was in. Whoever was watching the camera saw and let the emergency response team know so they can move in and take the case before the CIA could find it.
That attack was a drastic plan B measure to the Plan A of sitting back hoping the CIA didn't find the case and left.
Hold the hell on.
The only thing in that case was a bunch of C4? Did I hear that right? You're an al-Qaeda level terrorist operation and you need to kill 6 federal agents so they don't find some simple explosives? Or because you can't get more or something, even though it's not exactly plutonium?
That makes it so much worse.
Yeah i'm hoping they were lying or just assumed it was C4.
Yeah i'm hoping they were lying or just assumed it was C4.
Yeah I was under the same impression. I think wrote for Claire just to make it out as C4 with no consideration so the audience is unsuspecting of what really is inside the case.
That's why I didn't refer to it as C4 in my last post. I think they've got something going on more their and want to write it off early as C4 so we don't expect it.

I doubt it's just C4. To me whatever is in the case would lead back somewhere up the ladder, to Brody, Roya, or even Nazir.
Brody's life is almost MORE out of control now that he's working for the 'good guys.' As an aside I would love to bang his wife. No wonder Mike can't f*ck off.

I just watched the episode, they have no idea what was in the case, all they know is that it was not any sort of radioactive material so I think Carrie just kind of threw something out there just taking a stab in the dark.

I agree, whatever is in that case must be more damning than killing a dozen CIA members mid day on a small town main street. We know that they know that the CIA is onto them if only because they were at the Tailor's shop. And we know that that was going to be a major news story, as seen by the fact that the fundraiser guy knew about it.
Can you imagine what a scene like that would look like on the news cycle's we have these days. Even if they could hide the fact that the victims were CIA somehow.
I also agree that I'd like to bang his wife, and in fact one of my biggest faults with the show is that we haven't seen her naked since early in that first season. C'mon Showtime, get your shit together.
I really wish the BET made their own version of this... Homieland. Would watch

Well there's some explosives in the case, since they mentioned RDX showed up in the tests.
But yes, it must have been something more important for them to go commando.
Also, the CIA guys survived that attack? One of them is out of the hospital? What? I'd have to watch that scene again, but those guys were firing multiple shots from a military weapon. Why would they leave anyone alive?
It does seem to be veering away from realism.

Well Quinn was 'acting' like he was dead when they walked right past him out of door. Galvez is as good as dead from what they make it sound like. Seeing as how they just shot up a store in a small neighborhood they probably didn't have too much time to go around checking pulses or firing off extra shots at everyone to make sure they're dead. Still veering away from the realism aspect I agree though.
If it's between losing Quinn as a character for realism's sake and keeping him around with a small reach in reality, I pick the first one. Really like him as a character.

I was precisely thinking about them firing extra shots. Wouldn't have taken anytime whatsoever.
Also I think the Quinn getting out of bed thing, they stole from Gen. Petraeus's bio.
he suffered one of the more dramatic incidents in his career; in 1991 he was accidentally shot in the chest with an M-16 assault rifle during a live-fire exercise when a soldier tripped and his rifle discharged.[43] He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee, where he was operated on by future U.S. Senator Bill Frist. The hospital released him early after he did fifty push-ups without resting, just a few days after the accident.[44][45]
