Knicks @ Mavs Game thread

Dirk will play through the pain on his bum ankle. So will Josh Howard.

The Mavs announcers don't believe Eddie Curry's listed weight is legit.

Dirk just scored his 15,000 career point on a jumper over Starbury.

He's listed at 285, what do they think he's heavier?

Starbury is on fire and has 16 points as New York ends the 1st leading 29-22.

It's just a strong start by the Knicks. They won't keep it up.

The rebounding edge is 22-4 right now. Knicks sending all 5 to offensive glass, someone just misses the initial shot, then there's a rebound and missed putback, a missed tip in attempt, then finally tipped in every time

Mavs are moving the ball more (assists 11 to 5) which is keeping them in it, not to mention their good 3 point shooting (8 for 12).

Anyone see Diop get in the Knick's face and force a TO? Cracked me up.

Avery was owning that one young ref.

"You didn't see a passoff! Well that bothers me!"

Wow, interesting stat. Fewest points by opposing pointguard per game, Devin is 4th with 13ppg against. The leaders were Tony parker with 12.7, Jamaal Tinsley 12.8, and Rafer Alson at 12.8.
