Re: Durant, Lebron and Kobe Playoff Gamewinners:
Yeah, article came out in January 2011.
Yes, I remember that game. Final game of the season, good find.
So it's official then, Kobe at least has 40 game winning makes, 43 overall (unless we missed out on another game winner). Think he will make it to 50 GW ?
I hope so. Hit 50.
They funny thing is MJ has 27 game winners and Kobe is gunning for 50.

What's funny about that is the bulls were so dominant (because of Jordan) that Jordan didn't need to save their ass in the last few seconds nearly as much as Kobe :facepalm

wait, where did you get 43?
I only remember 4 since that article, making it 40.

Jordan was 50% in the Playoffs for his CAREER. No one can touch that.

Actually, my bad. I was thinking Kobe hit more between the time frame of January 28, 2011 - May 2012.
Yes, it's officially 40.

So suddenly it was a criteria for game winners.
Now...it's Player A didn't need to save his team because they were dominating.
:facepalm
What's next...can Kobe do a somersault and hit a game winner?
Blindfolded?

The whole point is the NUMBER of game-winners is irrelevant. Efficiency is the stat that matters. All having a lot of game-winners means is that Kobe's team was even/behind at the end of the fourth a lot, and he took the shots. He's been in the league for a long time, so it's inevitable he's going to have a bunch.
Re: Durant, Lebron and Kobe Playoff Gamewinners:
Because all game winners are the same right?
Context, people...
You can't compare game-winners as if they were FT percentage.
If Lebron had to shoot a 3pt over a double team with 1 second to go because they were down by 2 and he wouldn't be able to pass it on time for a better shot, but he still made it, it's a harder game-winner than if he had 6 seconds to work and they put him a screen for a floater at the Ft line.
If the game was on the line for a wild 3 ptr I would choose Kobe or Durant. If it was anything else with ample time I would probably go for Lebron and shooters. If it was less than 3 seconds to work I would go with Durant. If it was full 24 seconds I'd go with either of the 3, one has experience and credentials, the other one has versatility, playmaking and athleticism, and other one has range and height advantage. You can't go wrong.
Re: Durant, Lebron and Kobe Playoff Gamewinners:
Facts make stans angry. TOO FUNNY
About Durant's game winners, I noticed he makes them only when in no pressure mode, aka tied. Can someone confirm?

Nice post.
Re: Durant, Lebron and Kobe Playoff Gamewinners:
This thread fails because it fails to take into account the amount of times Lebron passed with 20 seconds left under the clock.
Re: Durant, Lebron and Kobe Playoff Gamewinners:
and pauk, I hope you're not gonna use your Windmill account to come agree with yourself in this thread as well.
Re: Durant, Lebron and Kobe Playoff Gamewinners:
Jordan has A LOT more than 27. The lists for Jordan are missing a laughable amount of his game winners.
Re: Durant, Lebron and Kobe Playoff Gamewinners:
kobe has 5 rings, lebron 1, durant 0
