Re: Best dunker on each NBA squad?
Cavs is Waiters, Gee, or CJ
Re: Best dunker on each NBA squad?
For the Detroit Pistons, I might honestly go with Tony Mitchell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpZGKZA5ges
Re: Best dunker on each NBA squad?
PHI:Thaddeus Young > Old Jason Richardson
UTA: Jeremy Evans.. (don't know how you missed that one)
Re: Best dunker on each NBA squad?
For Portland I would go with Will Barton. He doesn't score, or dunk much, but I think he has nice hops and can throw it down. He scored .4 PPG on dunks last season so that's pretty weak (1 dunk every 5 games), but I'd still say he's our no.1 dunker...

Well, while I don't agree with his choices either, Wade and DJ do have some incredible in-game dunks over players.
Wade over Perkins and Varejao are two of the nastiest dunks. Lebron's in-game dunk resume consists of much smaller players and isn't as impressive as Wade's. Lebron's dunks itself are more impressive though.
Griffin has had some ridiculous dunks in a relatively short career so far. Two words come to mind when I think of DJ and dunking: Brandon Knight.
Re: Best dunker on each NBA squad?
Ross > DeRozan. Ross has that better blend of athleticism, skill, and power. Looks smoother.
I like Corey Brewer over Derrick Williams. Something about that long swingman look. He's had some nice posters too.
Maybe Will Barton for Portland.
Marvin Williams for Utah. He's a pretty damn underrated dunker.
Gerald Green for sure over Bledsoe. Green might be the best dunker in the NBA.
Ray McCallum is a decently talented dunker for his size. He had a nice set in the Mc'D dunk contest. McLemore has crazy hops as well.
Honestly I like Wade over LeBron as well. LeBron does that same one handed tomahawk over and over.
Re: Best dunker on each NBA squad?
Wrong about the Cavs OP. Alonzo Gee or Thompson are our best dunkers not Waiters. Waiters rarely ever dunks, where as Gee has great leaping ability. Thompson doesn't even do anything fancy but nobody else on our team dunks any better than him so I guess due to the volume of times he dunks he is the default #2. But definitely Gee as #1... Heck I'd even mention CJ Miles before I mentioned Waiters.
Re: Best dunker on each NBA squad?
What do you mean by best dunker? Liket he most flashiest? Or the ones who can easily dunk? For the Cavaliers I think Gee is probably the best. He's probably borderline NBA dunk contest material, but probably not. Waiters is up there, he's able to get up for being 6'4". Obviously Thompson as well.
When I think of dunker for the Cavaliers Gee always comes to mind first because of some of the transition dunks and alley-oops I've seen him do. Also I'd probably put C.J. Miles ahead of Thompson.
Re: Best dunker on each NBA squad?
Its all about preference really. I like DeAndre 's dunks more then griffins, he doesnt need to use his off arm to clear out the defender and Jordans dunks are amazing for a man his size. Lebron's Oops and put backs are nice but Wade dunks with a silky power that trumps lebrons repetitive **** back power jam.

Instead, I believe it's just a byproduct of jumping style. He's a left foot lead jumper when taking off of two feet. And for a righty, that's going to lead to that natural "pose" where the left arm's going to be out in front. Vince Carter is the same way.
Terrence Ross, Dominique Wilkins, and Desmond Mason are all examples of two-foot, right foot lead dunkers. That's why when those guys rise off two, their body is squared up, instead of tilted like Griff and VC.

I agree with what your saying and believe thats why he gets away with what looks like an offensive foul upon replay, the movement looks natural in real time. I still enjoy Blake dunks, there is just something about the length and dexterity of Jordans dunks that just get me excited.
Re: Best dunker on each NBA squad?
You haven't been watching bball very long if you think Drummond is better than J-Smoove.
Sure, Drummond MAY have potential to be better, but as of now J-Smoove is still one of the more impressive dunkers in NBA history.
