I take them every now and then in the morning. Especially Ice Cold showers. Just step in, and turn that faucet on. Endure. My heart and breathing just skyrocket, really a good ass-kicking when you equip it with morning Cardio.
It's really good for you, physically and mentally. Google studies about it online, you'll be convinced.

Sometimes you think it's a feeling of dying, but it's actually a feeling of new awakening. The short, quick breaths are actually your lungs opening up and taking in more oxygen. Heart rate increased for cardio workout effect.
30 seconds of cold followed by 30 seconds of hot for 4-6 minutes does wonders for muscle fatigue after (basketball) workouts.

I do this too.
Don't ease into the cold water, just turn it on and step completely in. For some reason I really like the sensation when its suddenly really hard to breathe. Definitely wakes you up like nothing else.

Not sure that is true, scientific studies say otherwise. Maybe I'm wrong though, can't find the study that I read a while back.

I do wonder though... why is it we love hot showers but adore the cold/cool side of the pillow just as much?
