Isaiah Morton
Just a high school freshman, but wanted people to get a first look at a player you might see in the future. 1st cousin of Sebastian Telfair.

Plays for St. Augustine Prep in south jersey (players that came from there are anthony farmar on rutgers, eugene teague who will play for usf next season, and pops mensa bonsu who you guys should know). St. Augustine plays legit competition such as St. Patricks (al harrington, samuel dalembert, dexter strickland who is #16 in 2009 class)
Here's an article on the st.pats vs. st. augustine showdown

Morton only scored 8 points this game, but averaged 17.1 on the season and led the team. The reason I know who he is from Josh Thompson, also mentioned in the article (6'4" senior headed to Wagner), is one of my best friends that I grew up with. I'll definately be heading down there to check out Morton this summer.
Just showing some love

25 ppg/8 apg as a junior this year. Still just 5'8" but looks like a little kid in the face so hopefully he has more to grow.
Watching him allowed me to see Michael Gilchrist last year when they played against each other. Morton getting interest from Seton Hall, La Salle, St. Joe's, Temple, and Pitt among others. Just giving props to my boy. I've played with him 3 times now and kid is insanely quick.

This isn't the NBA draft forum though. College is littered with short guys. He won't stay 5'8" either.

Really? Because the best point guard on the planet is barely 6 feet tall.

Re: Isaiah Morton
One of my favorite players a few years ago was Drew Lavender. Wasn't he about 5'7"?

Re: Isaiah Morton

scored over 2,000 points in high school
Marist opens up against Kentucky next year in a televised game though so that should be cool. Their coach is one of Calipari's ex-assistants.

Re: Isaiah Morton
He was 2 steals and 1 rebound short of a quadruple-double the other night.

Re: Isaiah Morton
Woulda been cool to see him at Pitt but I'm excited enough about our recruiting class this year.
Has he grown any?
Not an inch. Still 5'7". He had other offers including Seton Hall and Rutgers (not great, but great conference) but from what I hear he wanted to go somewhere he could start immediately.

Re: Isaiah Morton
BUMP because he's going to be playing vs. Kentucky on ESPN in the season opener next friday. he's gonna get ate alive.
