I wear an elbow band in my right arm.
I occasionally wear a left wrist band or rubberband. In high school I was mostly accessory-less, but went on and off with double elbow pads my senior year. Also, because I came through in the headband era, I did in fact wear a headband for one of my high school games.
Knee pads, headband, shooting sleeves
:facepalm @ street ballers wearing shooting sleeves
^yup, only philos can rock flashy useless accessories because of their inherent coolness.
I wear knee braces and ankle braces after a recent sprain, but i dont like them at all.
I wear McDavid body and leg armor under my shorts and jersey. I know it seems excessive, but I'm 6'3", slight of build, and play around the post. It gives me the confidence to bang against bigger players.
Don't wear any kind of sleeves, headbands, or armbands though. My philosophy has always been, if you're going to wear stuff like that... you better be real good.
compression short with pads around thighs and hamstring and ass
knee pads occassionally
these are great and avoided me quite a few bruises on my thighs and knees
i dont wear shooters sleeves but i think it can be beneficial for ball handlers . i always get scratched , slapped on the arms a lot. i think the sleeve will at least not leave any marks or scars on the arm if you wear them
Well if compression shorts count, then yeah.
I find myself wearing compression shorts as underwear most of the time lately. Shits comfy and slimming. Although I worry about my testicles so I counter that with equal amount of commando, which is even more comfortable.
Shoes, tape ankles, two pair socks, shin splint support (right ankle), compression shorts, basketball shorts, no shirt.
I used to wear a hamstring sleeve type of thing because I messed my hammy bad about ten years ago playing soccer. The compression shorts help so I stopped wearing it. I don't even know why I wear the shin splint support. I had shin splits about a year ago and didn't want to stop playing so I bought that (it works, btw) and once they went away, I decided to keep it. :confusedshrug:
Oh, and I recently started putting baby powder in the compression shorts before I ball or exercise. My junk stays sweat free and cool as a cucumber. You pour the powder in the shorts and a little in your hand. Then you pat it on your balls and stuff.
i rock those addidas padded compression shorts and until recently, the mcdavid level 3 ankle braces on both ankles.
back in my njb days, i was one of those goofy middle schoolers who wore a headband :lol
jus my chainz tho
-Smak
I recently bought a yellow wrist band. Feels like Kobe.
maybe compression shorts and some nike elite socks at most.
headband (prevents sweat getting into eyes)
fingerband that connects my left pinky to ring finger (pinky went zig-zag like a Z like 3 years back, always a threat to happen again)
arm warmer on right arm (if its hot, i dont need it)
used to wear ankle braces but nowadays just tie my sneakers tight and it helps.
leg sleeve
Eye protection gear and headband to prevent sweat in eyes. Had surgery in right eye a year ago, so i try to protect my vision now.
Headband, armband, finger sleeves, shooting sleeve, compression shorts, left leg sleeve and a compression tank.
Just whats necessary

I had an orbital fracture last year and I hated wearing eye protection. Do you ever find that it fogs up a lot? Always had to pause the game and wipe them with my shirt, during long possessions could barely see anything

Wore Cho-Pat knee cord (like glen rice) for jumper's knees.
Wore goggles w/ prescription as a teen BC parents didn't think I was responsible enough to maintain contact lenses.
When messing around w/ buddies we would wear AI sleeves and headbands

Yup, the sweat causes it to fog. What i do though is, i walk with the soft cleaning cloth that comes with your prescription glasses and i wipe my eyewear when it fogs during a timeout or something.
Also, the headband help keeps the sweat from entering the eyewear. I walk with two headbands so when one gets soaked i put a fresh one on. Two headbands last me about one full game.
From varsity to street ball - wrist band on my left elbow, like Kobe's, & then Ankle sleeves.
Ever since I got tattooed up with NBA logo's and Jordan symbols, it's taken my game to a another level. I only expose my tats indoors tho.
It's like putting a racing sticker on a car. Makes it faster.
When I'm outdoors, ever since I upgraded my attire with what these guys wear, I've been unstoppable in the paint.

Kind of seems like overkill for pickup ball but my knees have been killing me and I've banged my knee pretty bad a few times recently.
Elbow sleeve on my right when I am sore
