Should the Knicks resign Drose?

I don't think he's had a dunk yet this year but he has EXPLOSIVENESS and is able to get to the hoop w/ ease and make layups. Knicks haven't had a player like Rose since forever.

Depends on what he's asking for.

Max deal? No way.

I love Rose, but his best days are way behind him. Not to mention he has a history of injuries, even if he managed to stay healthy this season there's no guarantee that he will in the upcoming seasons. I wouldn't risk it.

no, they shouldnt sign him so the knicks can go back to 32-50. knicks fans are so conditioned to lose that they have to ask this question?

He's had at least one dunk. But he said in an interview that he wished he never dunked because it lead to all the injuries.

If he can stay injury free, why the hell not? Unless we are convinced he is bad for KP's development because KP is the Knicks future. Sign him, it's not like they are getting an upgrade in the offseason.

I'm sure the guy will want a max, he is still playing for his next paycheck as if he is short on cash

I love Rose. But Knicks should be starting Brandon Jennings from the type of pace they wanna play.

D Rose at this stage of his career is a 16-19ppg 5 and 5 player with great penetration abilities but big injury risk.

I think he knows the days of him commanding 20 mill a year are over but based on his natural talent, resume, athletic ability that's still upper echelon and his age(only 28) He's going to command 15-16 mill a year.

Do the Knicks pay that when they have a cheaper less dynamic option in Jennings?

Personally I believe if Rose is able to see that KP is the future and should be the 1b to Melo 1a, he can flourish as that 3rd option with no pressure to score 20 ppg on good percentages.

If I can do a 3 year deal with Rose at 15-16 mill a year, I'd do it. If he wants above that then I'm sticking with Jennings.

A question I'd rather try to answer after 82 games.

Seen a few knicks games this year. Was never really a Rose fan but he is putting everything he's got on the court. He's lost a lot but I don't think you can question his heart anymore.

He's no longer a top tier PG but he's still good and capable of having big nights.
