His defense never gets mentioned enough.

Ok you've redeemed yourself for that Scottie Pippen's height thread. This is good.

An interesting story about KGB and Sarunas's getaway from USSR.

Re:
Had a look again at his NBA stats. I had forgotten he was shooting that well from the field and that he took that few 3-pointers (he was a regular long range shooter in Europe).

Re:
I think Spanoulis was naturally the same player as him, except right handed. Then after playing so many years with Giannakis, he got changed into being the new version of Giannakis.
But he still reminds of Marciulionis though. Just the same mentality, even though Giannakis changed his playing style.
Marciulionis and Spanoulis - two toughest European guards ever.
Total respect.

Only one of them was good enough for the NBA, the other was trash

This thread is a joke right?
A troll thread??
What a farce ISH has become.

If Marciulionis played for Jeff Van Gundy he would have been sent back to Lithuania the first time he ever tried ANY of those moves in those clips.

Re:
I wonder what his FG% at the rim was

No because his moves actually worked. Spanoullis' moves on the other hand didn't. Span struggled mightily in the NBA, eventually realized he just wasn't good enough (2.7ppg on 30%, 18% from 3 point range) he was just plain awful.

I used to work for the Russian mafia in Prague. They owned a club where some top level KGB agent was assassinated in the 70's and they still use it to launder money. A Saudi prince rented the entire place out for about two weeks, never showed up, yet somehow won millions in the casino.
Crazy shit out there in the wild wild east, lol. :hammerhead:

Re:
Sarunas was a lil' beast. I remember him playing very well vs the Dream Team. Damn, reminds me of Petrovic. That man was a legend.

This:applause:
VSpan bumping Chucky Atkins will result him losing the ball:oldlol: . Marciulionis can probably carry Chuck Atkins with him and still score.

No man, stop with the lame JVG excuses. I mean look... was it the coach's fault that V-Span shot a horrifying 32% from the field and a horrendous 17% from the 3 point land?!
Why can't you just admit that your guy was a horrible NBA player and had absolutely NO future in the league?
