****ing troll
DRob would destroy current NBA, very underrated player.
Man, as a Pistons fan, it's crazy to hear all the hype behind Andre Drummond of how he's supposed to be the next great big man and everything, then watch a highlight clip like this from Robinson's rookie year. Granted, Robinson was an older rookie due to his Naval service (not to mention after playing four years of college ball) but even then, it seems very apparent that Andre's never going to be in the same area code.
I'm really biased due to being a huge David Robinson fan, but he had such poise, strength, and speed. And he was such a great protector of the rim on top of everything else. Robinson averaged 4 blocks per game his rookie year. Drummond's never averaged 2. Crazy...

Unfortunately for D-Rob, it seems his entire NBA career has been labeled by a six game series against Hakeem.
Too bad too, since he was every bit Hakeem's equal in their 42 other H2H games.

I do not think there are many who'd try to claim Robinson as being a better playoff performer. I certainly do not. But I am uncertain as to what the numbers above have to do with defining Robinson's entire career by a single six-game series, as Lazeruss alluded.
So Robinson was not better than one of the best playoff performers of all-time. But the flak he catches tends to go so far beyond what would seem to be fitting for a man of such skill and on-court accomplishment otherwise. Sometimes it seems guys like Mitch Richmond even get more career respect, simply due to a single series and prominent gif.

Their 42 regular season H2H's were about as even as could be...except David held a 30-12 W-L record...

DRob would abuse the shit out of the NBA with the current rules. Just surround him with four three point shooters and you have a guaranteed championship.
