You can bet Kobe won't retire until he breaks it :oldlol:

Correct. Damn, how many more games, season did it take Kobe to eventually surpass MJ in all-time points?
MJ played:
18 games in 1986 (limited minutes due to injury too)
17 games in 1995 (shaking off rust in process)
60 games in 2002 (advanced age, 39 years old, really bad knee injury)
It's crazy to think how many accumulative points MJ would've had with at the very least playing all of the 1994 and 1995 season ... and even if he did the current Kobe thing of hanging around to increase his numbers in lieu of actually competing for championships in 1999, 2000, and 2001.
He probably could've overtaken Kareem given his insane durability, yearly output in terms of scoring if he continued to play until he was 40 for basically no reason.
As he did in 2002, and 2003. Jesus doe, GOAT gonna GOAT

too bad he needs 18 years to surpass
Don't count your eggs before they hatch. He hasn't stepped on the court yet since his injurieS. Factor in the chances he might get injured again and it might be career ending.
as Derrick Rose would say: '' I couldnt care less''
:applause: It only took him how many more years?

Props to Kobe's longevity

Kobe's been playing how long? And he still hasn't passed MJ in career points and playoff points? And MJ missed the better part of 3 years (missed most of his second season and all of the 1994 season and most of the 1995 season).
GOAT gonna GOAT

It's not Kobe's fault MJ wasn't as durable as he is.

Don't hate on Kobe because he plays more playoff games than MJ.
If you need your team to get into the post season you take Kobe.

Again, it's not Kobe's fault that MJ took a vacation to rest up his body.

the last of a dying breed, no doubt in my mind he'll make it. a guy who carried adam morrison and luke walton for nba championships is nothing short of a living legend
