Is David Lee worth the number 11 pick? Worth more? Worth less?
i would most definetly do it. with lee you know you are getting a double double guy who still has potential. i would take the sure thing over the #11 mystery.
yes. he's worth a top 10 pick.
but you can't have him for the 11th pick so don't worry about it. even if you packaged players with the pick Isiah wouldn't give him up.
yep
Not if I was Atlanta.
The knicks wouldn't I might consider it if there is a chance that ther will be no good big man after the 10 picks than yes.
Considering the team is Atlanta, no.
I'd gladly give up Lee for a pick that high.

I'm curious....why????

Because David Lee's a hustle player and those aren't incredibly hard to get. Sure, he's a high-end hustle player, but he's not going to be more than that.

But would you do it if you were Atlanta?
Personally they can't benefit from what he does. The Knicks haven't either. He fits best with a team vying for playoff positioning.
No way I'd trade a proven 10 and 10 guy. Check out the previous 11th picks
2006 J.J. Redick
2005 Fran Vazquez
2004 Andris Biedrins
2003 Mickael Pietrus
2002 Jared Jeffries
2001 Kedrick Brown
2000 Jerome Moiso
1999 Trajan Langdon
1998 Bonzi Wells
1997 Olivier Saint-Jean
1996 Todd Fuller
You basically have a 10% chance at someone who has the same value as Lee.

Nope.
Lee's a hustle player, but there's nothing stopping me from thinking he can be a 15/12 guy if he was a starter. Considering that he gets 10-12 pts from just second chance points, if he had a jumper that'll add 4-6 points to his point total.. Totally concievable, which should be worth a 5-10 pick in my opinion.

FINALLY! A poster who realizes what a crapshoot the draft is. You know what you are getting with Lee... a DD guy which is rare.. you have no idea what the #11 pick is.. hell you don't even know what the #1 is (kwame) #2 is (Darko) #3 is (Morrison/Dunleavy), etc. etc.. There have been plenty of absolute busts in the top 10 alone.
Why would the #11 pick be worth that risk to the Knicks, esp. when they have the #23 pick in a draft that is so deep, the fall off is not that great after picks 1 & 2. It's being said Isiah may look to get rid of the pick even. Personally, while this draft has Oden, Durant and alot of depth its not very top heavy. I don't see a lot of sure things or star players out there. David Lee may not be a star, but he is not easy to find.
Also obviously there are players that could be at #11 that COULD be better than Lee, but only with luck would you land a better player. If you have your eyes set on someone and they are still around at draft night at #11, then that is a different story. But to go into the draft blind doesn't make much sense.. for the Knicks at least.
