If Hollinger can get a job as GM, why not Simmons? Sure, some of his trade scenarios are a bit out there but you can't deny the man knows his basketball inside-out. :confusedshrug:

Of course I can deny that. Hollinger is a Rhodes scholar with an IQ in the upper 98% of America and he's basically the father of advanced metrics in basketball. Simmons is a whiny douche born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
Way better than Chuck or Shaq would be.

Rhodes scholar? Google didn't turn anything up.
No he wouldn't. Classic example of a dude who loves to talk that 'ish but if he was in their position he would shit the bed.
a better question is, could he hit an open hook shot with no defense?

hollinger is way more intelligent than simmons though. simmons is just a little more intelligent than charles barkley and given how stupid charles is, that is not a great thing.

The world waits with baited breath on the answer to this question.

otoh 98% IQ isn't that high when you think bball coaches and bball players are probably at the 99.9999.
I think Holli is a ploy, an attention move. Dude looks autistic to me.
I think it's hard to be a really good GM, and you probably need some luck... like think of Steve Kerr. He got slayed for that Shaq trade. When it was kind of a power move... and not a bad idea. I think the front office is a huge thing... comes down to luck, player performance, and each part of the whole.
