Where would you rank him among centers? The League?

Top 5-6 center, top 20-25 overall.
He's the best offensive C in the league. Why is he absolutely incapable of rebounding? I don't understand the issue.

Because he's soft as f*ck.
then they wouldnt need KG or Reggie Evans
If Lopez avg 10rpg his first name wouldnt be Brook. It would be Jamal, unfortunately its Brook.

He's averaging 7 rebounds per game. Let's not say he's "absolutely incapable" of rebounding. That term is reserved for Bargnani. Is 7 a lot? No, bit it's not anemic either.
His legs are filled with concrete. Hard to chase rebounds when you have no mobility.

Bargs is a PF who primarily plays in the perimeter. Brook is a C who plays primarily in the post. Lopez is marginally better than a player widely regarded as a horrific rebounder for his size. Lopez is worse. Also, it's 6.5 boards.
He's excellent at boxing out and helping the team on the boards. When you're 7'1" 290 you create space for others. The team was the 2nd best rebounding team last year and while they are inconsistent this year, they will be fine on the glass. Also, the Nets have been better on the glass with him on the court than off each of his 4 healthy seasons (not the 5 game season)
Personally, I don't care about his individual rebounding numbers, I care about team rebounding numbers, and assuming the Nets end up out-rebounding their opponents on average, I'm happy.
He's the best offensive center in the league IMO and one of the best paint defenders at the moment. Not only is he averaging 2.7 bpg, opponents only shoot 31.5% at the rim against him. To put that in perspective there are close to 50 players that have to defend at least 6 FGA in the paint (Brook defends about 9 as his guards can't stop penetration).. and of those 50, he is the best.
Hibbert - 35%
Howard - 48%
Bogut - 46%
Duncan - 41%
Noah - 38%
Varejao - 62%
For comparison.

He also plays low minutes. He averages 7.7 per 36.

KG hasn't been, nor have the Celtics been a good rebounding team for years.
Also, I will be you the Nets will be an above average rebounding team as the stats level off. They were the 2nd best team last year by differential and rebound percentage.

KG's got the most rebounds on the Nets roster this year, and he's 7th in minutes played.

I know.. kind of my point.
Lopez helps the team get rebounds by taking up space. He's 7'1" 290 and excellent at boxing out. Thus Hump, Evans and now KG's rebounding numbers.
KG wasn't a good rebounder in Boston nor the Celtics good on the glass, but I will bet you the Nets will be just fine on the glass 30-40 games in.. they were #2 last year.
Rebounding is a hustle/effort thing... You have to really want to rebound in order to do it well... Reggie Evans=Loves to rebound... Brook=loves to score
