Yeah they are atop of Eastern Conference due to their remarkably easy schedule. The next 24 games will be brutal for them, they will go 8-16 and end up with 31-27. At that point they need to finish 19-5 to reach 50 wins, which is almost impossible.

Yeah, they will just turn it on. They have no competition in the East. The East is terrible. They can afford to lose games and be fine. Try to do that in the West. The heat will probably not repeat unless whoever comes out of the West is not full strength or something like that. There is still plenty of season. But the heat are small and their defense is slack this season.

Ah you are way too optimistic, NBA finals? The team looks like 2nd round exit at best to me.
Who cares? Last 2 years they've been playing shit in regular season yet they shift it a few levels when playoffs come around. They've never even been close to #1 seed in the East before yet they got to the finals twice.
Miami Heat doesn't even to play half their games. Eastern conference is so bad that they can sneak in with a losing record as a 8th seed.
LeBron will turn into a God, ehh not like 26/8/7 is not God mode already. Wade will try again. Anything Bosh brings will just be a bonus.
There have been countless championship teams and established contenders who coast during a good chunk of the regular season. We've seen it with both the early 2000s Lakers, some of the recent Laker teams, the recent Celtic teams, some of those Piston teams and even the Spurs who have limited their starters minutes and give them some games off in recent years.
Off course they are at cruise control and they don't care about regular season, that's why Lebron went practice after they lost to the Knicks and made sure everyone knew about it.
The real overrated pretenders are Nets, Knicks, and Pacers.

Yeah, but there also have been teams like 02-03 Lakers, 06-07 Heat, 07-08 Spurs and 10-11 Lakers who just aint competitive any longer and people kept overrating them 'cause they were defending champs.
Miami Heat's next ten games:
@ SAC W(24-11)
@ UTA L(24-12)
@ GS L(24-13)
@ LAL L(24-14)
TOR W(25-14)
DET W(26-14)
@ BOS L(26-15)
@ BKN L(26-16)
@ IND L(26-17)
@ TOR L(26-18)
They will go 3-7 and drop out of top 3 seeds in Eastern Conference.
:facepalm
If you think they will go 3-7 during that stretch, I got a bridge in Brooklyn I'm trying to sell.

This. As has been proven in both conferences the last two years, having the #1 seed means very little considering neither of those teams made it to the Finals.
Defending champs and they are coasting and still #1 seed. :sleeping They'll wake up come playoff time
they are currently top of the east. sure, they're pretenders.
Isn't saying much, tbh. They got it pretty nice.
In the West they would be the 5th seed right now (in between GS and MEM) or worse because they would have been facing tougher opponents all season.

But how exactly do you know that? I see these hypotheticals all the time. It's getting old. We'll never know how Miami would fair in the western conference, so just get over it.
Lets see how they're playing in April. Its barely January.
