Heat will destroy the Lakers unless D12 gets back to all world form. Even then, having Nash guarding Ray Allen during critical stretches of games is going to the worst.
The Lakers will score alot, but there defense is suspect. If we can score a 108 points, the Heat could score over a 120.
overreaction thread
Heat would run the Lakers out of the building.
Heat in 6 at most.
Howard and Gasol would abuse Miami's front line. Only Memphis and Lakers can beat the Heat in the ship.
Even last year when the Lakers sucked, the Heat had trouble with Lakers front line. They also have trouble with the Clippers and Memphis for the same reasons.
Lakers biggest threat to make it to the Finals are OKC, Spurs, Memphis, Clippers.
I think D'Antoni joining the Lakers is exactly why Miami will beat Lakers. Had the Lakers not decided for D'Antoni's system and gone big instead they would have caused Miami a lot more problems. But if you're planning on running with Miami you're just playing their game.
Well the Lakers could get lucky and Lebron could disappear in the Finals again...
Except that this finals probably wont happen.

So basically all western playoff teams
BTW i think this lakers are very capable of beating miami right now but miami since big three has absolutely owned lakers.Miami won all 4 games but one in a convincing manner and they didnt have bosh in the last years game that they lost.
Playoffs are several months away. I'll wait to see how the season unfolds before I make serious claims like that. I know last night I jokingly said LAL would run teams out the building, but I'll hold off on claiming that to be my 100% real opinion until the team proves itself against the top dogs.
Nash and D'Antoni are definitely known for leading their teams to the Finals.
For the first time in my life, i think i would support Lakers in such series.

First off have some faith and grow a pair.
Second you aren't a fan if you have an overreaction this early.
Yes the Lakers big men will give us trouble, but I think we can run and gun and hopefully figure something out. You don't think Spo and the team know this? They are playing small ball and will plan accordingly for certain teams. Also its still only November, what the hell is wrong with you. :facepalm
Dont worry about it. Lakers arent going to be coming out of the West.

You should know that your favorite player is the one who most excels at playing the running game.
OP is simply speaking in satire.
Go root for someone else
Too early to tell..

Since Mike DAntoni was hired, Lakers have been league #1 in defense, #1 in offense, and #1 in rebounding. They've outrebounded their opponents by an average of +10 rebounds.
its what, 10 games in? lets give it 50 games and we can have a better barometer
Last year that Miami defense was suffocating on the perimeter. If they get back to that, coupled with that half court execution they got going on right now, its going to be hard for any team to take them out in a 7 game series.
Nash and D'Antoni are definitely known for leading their teams to the Finals.
Nash and D'Antoni never had Kobe, Pau, and Dwight in any of their PHO teams so I don't understand what's the issue here?
Please....
Miami can beat anybody
can chris bosh guard dwight?
can battier guard gasol?
can ray allen guard nash?
im guessing no
chill
Lakers are being subpar teams

Lakers are going to be so beat up by the time they reach the Finals....That's if they get there
overreaction thread
this
overreaction thread... Miami has the tools to beat the Lakers... Lakers remain my favorites but it won't be an easy road... any team with a high scoring/slasher/ball handler can beat the Lakers.
Agreed. + the NBA is wide open this year. You can make a case for a lot of teams.

Nash will just run into someone and get hurt for another 2 months again with his old ass. :lol
WCF: LAL v.s. LAC
ECF: NYC v.s. MIA
I feel the lakers biggest obstacle lies in the west (OKC and Clippers).. They have the big bodies to at least bother the lakers and really good scoring from the perimeter..

Knicks wont make it that far

I agree. Lakers traditionally beat smaller teams in the playoffs, but teams with quality bigs are very dangerous. Lakers might not even be the best team in the city.
yup.. but im hoping for a Lakers - Miami finals... i feel it something that has to happen, we didn't get to see Bulls - Rockets, Lakers - Bulls(Jordan retired right when the Lakers were on the verge of becoming a contender), Lakers - Miami(Wade - Shaq era), Lakers - Cleveland.
I really hope it happens.
It really would be a travesty if we didn't see a Lebron-Kobe Final. I'm still pissed about '09.
I hope OP is talking about regular season, because that's the only place the Heat will be seeing the Lakers.
Knicks wont make it that far
In the East? Yea they can. Beyond MIA it's open season.

ray allen is a mutha fcuking jump shooter...keep hands up and if he makes it...good enough...
he is not going to take you off the dribble or pump fake you...
good luck guarding Dwight with chump bosh....and guarding Pau with battier/bron
