Guy in Turban always at Raptors games
Does anyone know who this guy is exactly? lol.
I'm assuming he's just a season-ticker holder, but he acts like our cheerleader almost. He's always sitting in the same spot, front row, behind basket almost, and will passionately get up and cheer our guys on whenever we score or make a big play. I've noticed him every game, all season.

Thats also what I have heard. He has been there since the VC days. And apparently he is friends with VC.

Re: Guy in Turban always at Raptors games
Nav is really a passionate fan. He also sponsors Punjabi language broadcasting for every games on CBC.
-
Re: Guy in Turban always at Raptors games
He's our Spike Lee :D
But in all honesty, what he's doing is great. Sponsoring a station that broadcasts game in a language that tons of people in the GTA speak? That man has a big heart, and probably an even bigger wallet.

Re: Guy in Turban always at Raptors games
i'm sure he does good things for the community. he seems like a publicity whore, though.

Re: Guy in Turban always at Raptors games
how can people not know Nav Bhatia? He was the guy that first broke the story of Vince asking for a trade. The guy was at Vince's wedding. He has been at every raptor game for as long as I can remember. He donates a lot of the tickets too..a lot of the players know who he is too....
he almost is a synonym for the raptors.

Re: Guy in Turban always at Raptors games
Why did I just see him at the Orlando game wearing a Magic jersey helping Vince Carter get up? Right behind the basket too, where he always is at Raptors games...

he and Vince are buddies I think. As was mentioned above, he went to VC's wedding.

Re: Guy in Turban always at Raptors games
He was there cheering for Orlando last season too.
and LOL @ VC choking

Re: Guy in Turban always at Raptors games
Just thought I'd chime in that he's not just from the VC days, IIRC he was at the first Raptor game I ever went to in '95. The man is simply epic.

Re: Guy in Turban always at Raptors games
All for him being a die-hard fan and "synonymous" with Raptors.

Pulling up a 2.5 year old thread. Must be a productive day.

I don't know what you guys are so excited about. I'd trade the Turban guy for Nene any day of the week.

He owns a bunch of Hyundai & used car dealerships.
"Mississauga Elite Cars" is one of his dealerships. I believe they have a bunch of cars from ex-raptors for sale there.

Re: Guy in Turban always at Raptors games
Would anyone seriously consider buying a car just because a Raptor owned it? Do they use that as a marketing ploy? :lol

Knowing the immense amount of hate for VC in the GTA, I wouldn't be surprised if someone bought his car just to make a youtube video of them lighting it on fire.:oldlol:

Re: Guy in Turban always at Raptors games
I guess if Emma Watson's old car was for sale, there would be at least a small chance that she wet herself while driving, and I'd buy that in the blink of an eye.
