The Charlotte Hornets selected Malachi Richardson with the 22nd pick in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft. The Hornets are currently in discussions to trade the rights to Richardson; however the team will not be able to consummate any potential trade until after the moratorium period ends July 7. The organization will have no further comment on this pick until those trade discussions are completed.
