Michael Eric Dyson on First Take discussing Lebrons Killer instinct vs Jordan's
He makes good points regarding LeBron being a team player historian, but lacking the brute Killer instinct of a Kobe and Jordan. Good watch. Solid well put breakdown.

LeBron's killer insinct > Kobe's
Re: Michael Eric Dyson on First Take discussing Lebrons Killer instinct vs Jordan's
Interesting that he brings up the point about size, and big guys not wanting to be behemoths and intimidate people. Where as the best guards ever have little man complex, so it makes them more ruthless as competitors on an individual level. Very intriguing stuff. Kind of a Batman and Superman type dichotomy amongst them.

People greatly overestimate the value of either smiling or making angry faces after plays.

Agreed. Odd but kinda understanding point. Although I tend to lean closer to the fact that LeBron also just doesn't want the blame for a potential big shot moment. Rather pass to a Mario Chalmers than shoot it himself.

Or passing to Udonis Haslem for a game winning jump shot, after just making 3 difficult jumpers yourself and having the hot hand. Passing off responsibility to much less capable players, even when it isn't the obvious or correct basketball play.
:facepalm

I'm not the biggest fan of Dyson, but I do agree with much of his assessment here.

Really? Passing to UD for a game winning jumper has it's own category and that's what it's called....
Really?

Re: Michael Eric Dyson on First Take discussing Lebrons Killer instinct vs Jordan's
That's the one thing I dislike about LeBron. He'd rather just pass off and should they lose because of it, not want to take the blame for it. MJ and Kobe would take the shot and had no issue taking the blame if they lost. Hell MJ only passed to Kerr in '97 against the Jazz because the Utah bigs clogged the paint and he got doubled. He had no choice but to pass the ball.

MJ never took a shot in his life that was as big as Lebron's Finals game 7 game winner.
