All of this sounds awesome. Its seems that they are really listening to the gamers.
Hopefully more romance options means we can be a true pimp and have more than one honeydip :pimp:

A threesome with Liara and Ashely, Miranda and Ashely, or Miranda and Liara?
Decisions, Decisions.

Re: Mass Effect 3 update
Thane was my favorite. I replayed the whole game. And kept redoing the final mission till he was left alive.:lol

"I was curious to see how far you'd go to find me. Well...here I am."
Such a great character.

Kasumi is one of my favorite characters. I love her sarcastic, untimely comments. I like Zaeed too. Dude is like the drinking buddy who's always getting into shit lol

I don't have any of the DLC unfortunately. Kasumi seems like an awesome character.

Yeah she is. The DLC was definitely worth it. Kasumi is not only a good character outside of battle, she is really good in battle as well.

This is why I'm a diehard Bioware fan. They take fans seriously. Casey Hudson who is in charge of the Mass Effect project always listens to complains and tries to fit them into sequels with this series. I think Mass Effect 3 is going to be one of the greatest games of all time.

Re: Mass Effect 3 update
Awesome, Thane was my favorite male character in ME.
-
Re: Mass Effect 3 update
I dont give a shit about thane, show me Tali's face!
-
Re: Mass Effect 3 update
Sounds good indeed.
I hope they hit a homerun with the mini-games this time, because those in the first games sucked.
-
Re: Mass Effect 3 update
I wish Bioware made this 4 characters instead of 3, and just amp up the difficulty.
Would make for more strategy in battles.

Re: Mass Effect 3 update
"One quality benchmark people should look out for, when it comes to video games, is the amount of content packed in the game. The most obvious definition of content would be the scenery, locations, quests, weapon types, weapon customizations, armour, equipment, and other components.
However, players should not neglect one piece of content that greatly impacts their enjoyment of the game, even though they may not be aware of it, and that is the dialogue. Dialogue is a key component of a video games’ storyline. It pushes the story along. Obviously, the more the lines of dialogue are, the better.
Lines of dialogue do not necessarily have to be based on some actual exchanges or linear dialogue. They could also be alternate dialogues or alternate directions of the story. Any well-produced video game must have a long line of dialogue selections for whatever twist and turn the game story takes, and their differing missions or quest."
"It appears that the upcoming SciFi action adventure game, Mass Effect 3, has this covered. This installment of the Mass Effect series has 40,000 dialogue lines. That’s a lot of conversations which greatly outstrips most movies and TV shows’ lines of dialogue.
This is a very content-dense title. Just for the sake of comparison, the prior Mass Effect release – Mass Effect 2 – had only 25,000 lines and the original Mass Effect had only 20,000 lines. This number of dialogue lines implied the wide and deep selection of roleplaying that you can take with this title. The title launches in 2012 and is slated for North American release on March 6. Expect more news to come regarding this heavily anticipated title."

Almost double the dialog of ME2 and exactly double of first game.

Re: Mass Effect 3 update
^ hopefully the extra dialogue is 15,000 ways to call Ashley a c*nt

Re: Mass Effect 3 update
I think I'm gonna import my Renegade Soldier. Since I'm used to playing him. I hope they have the Revenant in the game. That's the best weapon :oldlol:

Re: Mass Effect 3 update

As long as this is more of a "throw in" feature, I'm ok with that. It's not like I'll ever use it. The primary focus should be on the single-player and storytelling.

I'm on /v/ right now, and apparently the Mass Effect 3 beta was accidentally leaked on 360 to Dashboard Beta participants.

It's Wrex, he's been confirmed as a party member for a while now.
I like how the skills are set up, seems like a mix of the first two games.

I think they're making a little more action oriented so not as much exploring.
Personally I feel like I need to go back and really play the **** outta ME2. I only did the main storyline twice (no DLCs yet) and from experiencing ME1 I'm sure I missed out on quite a few missions since I hardly scanned any planets.
I might buy ME3 (I already pre-ordered it) and not touch it until much much later until I'm done with ME2.
Any thoughts on this strategy?

For getting the most out of the story and gameplay, this is the right thing to do. I went back and beat the game a few weeks ago so I could change the decisions I made on my previous playthrough.

Re: Mass Effect 3 update
I'm just going to import my commando soldier. They said the revenant assault rifle is coming back. That's all I need
I may import my adept as well. I haven't played it in a long time though.

I did this in December, replayed it with all the DLC included, tried to get everyone out alive and still can't ****ing do it.
It's really fun, I beat basically everything because I had more time to focus on every aspect of the game.

You must not be using the right guy for the right job. I lost Jacob in my first playthrough because I sent him in instead of Talia for the first mission on the Collector ship. Either that or you didn't upgrade everything on the ship.

I upgraded everything because I'm an OCD MFer when it comes to gaming. I just ****ed up a loyalty mission for Jack so I lost her on the first play through, and lost Thane (my favorite other wise I wouldn't have gave a shit) because of the wrong job.
Second time, I lost Tali no idea why. She's supposed to be used for the first thing although Legion is better. But she dies every time.
Third time, I forgot who died.
Fourth time same as second.

1. Have everyone loyal to you
2. Before you go for the IFF mission, make sure you have all the upgrades for Normandy.....
3. After your crew is kidnapped, do NOT do anything, go immediately to the Omega 4 Relay or you will lose half of your crew. So, do the Legion loyalty quest immediately after you get him, that's why I recommend to do all the sidequests and upgrades before you get the IFF.
4. CORRECT CHOICES/DECISIONS ON THE LAST MISSION:
---second team leader (for both parts): Garrus or Miranda
---Technician: Tali or Legion
---Biotic specialist: Samara/Morinth or Jack.
---Escort for the Normandy crew: Mordin
suggestion: Do not take Grunt with you in the end, he is a great choice for the leftovers that are "holding the line"
took me 1000 years to figure out lol.... I guarantee you everybody will survive

Re: Mass Effect 3 update
I played through both ME1 and ME2 for a second time in the past couple months and now have my save file ready. Pre-ordered the N7 verions of ME3 for PC. This game is going to shut down my life for a few weeks.
