You guys do know that pictures can be very deceiving when it comes to judging height?

Unless it's a mugshot.
He's really reaallly close to 7 ft. They could totally list him as 7 ft, I've heard people saying he's taller than Dwight Howard. But then again, they don't list him at 7' probably because it would be silly for a 7 footer to play shooting guard. Probably the same reason KG is listed as 6'11"

Isn't that because he didn't want to play Center? :confusedshrug:

This was at end of March he says flat out "I'm 6'9"... so where are Joyner and other fans getting the 6'11 stuff?

KG probably is 6'11. Most players list their shoe heights anyways. But then guys like KG and Duncan just go head and list their true height.
I would say Kevin Durant is a legitimate 6'10. Howard is probably 6'10. Remember, most players list 1 inch higher than they are.
He's 6'11.5 with shoes now, he grew an inch after he got drafted.
6'10" maybe 6'11" in shoes.
Listed at 6'9", but I would say he's closer to 6'11", he's a damn near 7 footer.
Oh here we go again, people who don't want to believe that the NBA draft measures players accurately and that the NBA list heights only serve to exaggerate almost every single players height thus leading people to believe the few players who are honest about their height are actually the ones lying when it is in reality the other way around. Durant is 6-9. Need evidence to explain why he looks so tall?
Durant measured 6-9 barefoot in the NBA draft at age 19.
Dwight Howard measured 6-9 barefoot in the NBA draft at age 19.
Kevin Love measured 6-7.75 barefoot in the NBA draft at age 20.
Believe what you will but odds are the amount anybody will grow from 19 and on is going to be measured in fractions of an inch at best and I doubt it would ever be perceptable. Nobody is gonna be adding on "inches" that's pimply faced voice-cracking growth spurt shit right there.
Dwight Howard got listed 6-11. He is identical in height to Kevin Durant, yet the NBA listed him 6-11 and Durant chose to be listed his honest height of 6-9. When Durant stands next to "6-11" Dwight Howard and see's him eye to eye people get suspicious of his height. Which one lied about their height? Well surely it's Durant selling himself short am I rite?
Kevin Love got listed 6-10. He is more than one full inch shorter than Durant yet the NBA listed him as being 1 inch taller. When Durant stands next to Love he is clearly taller, people are going to notice. So instead of accusing Love of exaggerating his height they instantly assume Durant is the liar not Love. So Durant must be taller than 6-10 am I rite?
But Durant isn't lying about his height, the other players are. In fact, 99 percent of the league is lying about their height.

Do you understand why you all are so confused? Now stop calling him a 7 footer, seriously odds are he's ~6-9 and if he even grew at all the chances that he'd grow to beyond ~6-9.5 from age 19 are not good. I think he's still near as makes no difference 6-9 he's just the only player honest enough to list and acknowledge his actual height.
I don't think Durant is any taller than 6'10" in shoes really, those of you who think he is 6'11 or 7' are just crazy.

This. NBA heights are drastically exaggerated.
I'm old, so I've actually shrunk a bit from my greatest barefoot measured height of 6' 7 5/8". My guess is I'm currently 6' 7.25" tops.
Last week my wife and I encountered Blake Griffin in the OKC airport. He was flying in while we waited for our flight. She saw him on the concourse, and I walked past him from behind as he posed for pics with some young girls. Both of us were wearing sandals.
When I got back to the wife, she asked how tall he was supposed to be. I said I thought he was listed at 6'10", to which she replied "Then he must have two and a half inch soles on his basketball shoes. You guys are the same height ... if he's lucky."
