Re: Music Appreciation Rounds 1-3 Analysis Thread
he was one of the first artists to use turntables and scratching, and actually had a popular song with it. So yeah, he definitely played his role in Hip-Hops early development.
fine, but to say he was one of the founders strikes me as unnecessary hyperbole. hip-hop was founded much earlier than 1983.

yep, I did go overboard mentioning him as a "founder"
Latinos and Asians have been sh**ted on in this draft. Blacks and whites are definitely running things.
I plan to take on a couple of Latinos if a certain someone falls to me. My band will feature multiple percussionists. I have Tito Puente in my sights. He and Papa Zita would be deadly.
Asians? F*ck em. Maybe some one will pick up Ravi Shankar.

There's that one latino guitarist I'm surprised no one has taken yet.

Re: Music Appreciation Rounds 1-3 Analysis Thread
I think in general there's a lot of guitarists being slept on.
How come none of those has been picked yet?

Re: Music Appreciation Rounds 1-3 Analysis Thread
no dylan, no care
Doesn't sing or play well enough to warrant a selection in the first 3 rounds. Virtuosos are favored in this format. He may be used as a songwriter only, and therefore could be selected later.

i was strongly considering him but i decided on keith richards because his blues roots and i thought he would bring some of the stones crowd over to hear aretha and marvin
