Re: The Rockets bench...
Perennial first round exit for years to come...at least until they get rid of McHale. They could be the 86 Celtics and McHale would find a way to lose in the first round. Good thing he wasn't coaching them at the time.
Better than a 9th/10th seed treadmill team like they were for years and years before that though.

Re: The Rockets bench...
Patrick Beverley/IsaiahCanaan
James Harden/Jason Terry
Trevor Ariza/Francisco Garcia
Terrence Jones/Jeff Adrian
Dwight Howard/Joey Dorsey
:wtf: :biggums:

If the Rockets can trade for Rondo - say 2 firsts and 2 seconds, plus expirers, then the whole analysis changes.

Re: The Rockets bench...
Can't find any gifs of Harden's blown defensive rotation because there hasn't been any?
Let's make a Rockets hate thread.
Actual bench:
Canaan
Garcia
K-Pop
Motiejunas
Dorsey
You got 2/5 of our bench player correct. Protip: If you are going to hate, at least get the bench rotation right.

Still... Motiejunas is the only player there worth a damn. And I'm not even sure about that one

You will see that Papanikolau is very good player, something between Budinger and Parsons ;)

Re: The Rockets bench...
yea why the hell are people leaving off papa and dmo? those guys are going to be solid contributors this season by the looks of it.
also, i watched the first half of last nights game against the grizz and harden was putting in good effort on defense. he wasn't playing good defense but he was at least breaking a sweat. i presume he's been very aware of all the mocking that's come from the internet over the past year. i expect improvement from him on that end, even if its only marginal.

Re: The Rockets bench...
Honestly, is the Bucks bench better than the Rockets bench? I think the starters are gonna be Knight/Middleton/Giannis/Jabari/Sanders...which leaves the bench as:
Kendall Marshall / Nate Wolters
Jerryd Bayless / OJ Mayo
Jared Dudley
Ersan Ilyasova
John Henson / Zaza Pachulia
:confusedshrug:

Re: The Rockets bench...
3 of the 5 guys you listed will most likely be 3rd stringers.
The bench rotation will probably look something like this...
PG: Ish Smith - Nice passer. Not a good shooter, but he can penetrate very well.
SG: Jason Terry/Troy Daniels - If Terry still has some left in the tank, he can provide some 3's. Same for Troy Daniels. He was shooting lights out in the playoffs.
SF: Kostas Papanikolaou - He came over from Europe. So far in the preseason he's been impressive and he plays very good defense. It's only preseason though
PF: Donatas Motiejunas - He's been with the Rockets for a while now, His game has improved every year. The guy is 7 feet tall and has a pretty smooth post game.
C: Tarik Black/Joey Dorsey - Black has been a nice in the preseason so far. He had 10 points and 15 rebounds last night. Joey Dorsey has yet to play in the preseason, but he's known as a nice defensive player and rebounder.
WHATTA LOSER TRYING TO JUSTIFY THE WOAT BENCH      :applause:

DMo's defense is awful, he's a bad rebounder and he's pretty soft.
He's skilled in that he can actually handle the rock for his size and pop out for threes but what use is that when you can't shoot very well.
And when you barely make fifty percent of your free throws you're not a good shooter.
If he's the best guy coming off the bench.....damn.

Re: The Rockets bench...
that dude Black was grabbing boards and setting picks like a madman. I like him

Lin was a major spark plug off the bench last year and they will miss him tremendously when Harden's shot isn't falling.
I've never seen a professional basketball bench so pitiful in my life. The brilliant Morey can do no wrong!

Re: The Rockets bench...
Luckily Lin won't be there this year to single handedly cost them playoffs games with retarded bone head plays

That bench is elite compared to the Rockets.
