Then he shot 29% (8-27) in game 6
Shaq needed back surgery that Summer from carrying Kobe the entire series.

Re: 2007: Is There a Worse Performance in the NBA Finals from a Healthy Superstar?
2004 Kobe
2007 LeBron
2011 LeBron
Worst Finals performances from a superstar I’ve ever seen. Easily. There’s an argument for 2008 Kobe being on that list too.

On par with
2004 Kobe - 11.6 Gmsc 23/3/4 on 38%
2007 LeBron - 10.6 Gmsc 22/7/7 on 36%
2011 LeBron - 13.7 Gmsc 18/7/7 on 48%
??? God no. Not even close
These two are more similar and both faced great defenses ...
2008 Kobe - 16.4 Gmsc 26/5/5 on 41%
1996 Jordan - 18.5 Gmsc 27/5/4 on 42%
Mike was ever so slightly better. And he won. He closed out Seattle on their home court in game 3
Where as Kobe allowed LA to blow a 20 point lead that would

Yeah, he rushed back early and played the rest of the series on one leg but still had more impact than Lebron in 2007, who couldn't win his team one game. 26/10/4/1/2 on 42%TS in Game 6 is not that bad, he had a rough start shooting but made some clutch baskets, including a block on Rose and made 4 straight FTs to close the series out.
Need I remind you that Kobe's the only reason they even got to the Finals that year? They had to injure him on purpose to even have a chance in that series & he came back just 2 games later to kill Indiana's title hopes in their own house.
Re: 2007: Is There a Worse Performance in the NBA Finals from a Healthy Superstar?
07/11 LeBron 2000/2004 Kobe are down there with 94 Ewing and some old school ones that nobody would care about if listed.
Re: 2007: Is There a Worse Performance in the NBA Finals from a Healthy Superstar?
Pat Ewing 94 Finals: 19 ppg, 36% FG
