Either Pau or Bynum has a step up and deliver as a consistent #2 scorer in order for this team to go far. Too much reliance on Kobe in their offense. I'd prefer Kobe to be around 27-28 ppg for the season, but it's good to see he's still capable of these type of games.
best player in the league
Lakers record still under .500 for his career when shooting 30 or more attempts.
2-0 is a good start for this season though. Seems to be working.
It can work with Kobe taking 30 shots just a long the Lakers are playing defense. Which they are. So its so far, so good for the Lakers.
damn Kobe's killing my fantasy team. I'm now down big on points. :banghead:
but props to him for another great game.
I guess that surgery in Europe really helped. If it works that well for A-Rod in baseball next season he might get back to 40 HRs.
hopefully he can keep it up
I'm surprised Kobe's exerting this much effort for regular season games. Over the past couple years he's paced himself till the end of the season. Either he's feeling really good physically or he realizes the Lakers aren't going to seriously contend for a championship and he's going for big numbers. Hard to tell.

no, he go big even in 2008, 2009 when needed.
but last year he clearly wasn't 100% with his knee, he didn't practice a-t a-l-l only played games, but if you remember when the lakers needed a good streak after the all star break kobe deliver for them but then he got injured on the road game in dallas and never returned to himself.
right now he know the team needs his offense cuz artest and fisher are doing shit on offense and bench got weaker, and his knee is so good u can see it when he elevates.
as long as the knee is good kobe can play very good.

So we are going to pretend he didn't airball the game winning shot and that Bynum didn't put back another one of his misses?
He was actually pretty poor in the 30 seconds plus OT. But he has been lights out for the last 6 games. I'm not going to pass any judgment on Kobe until he gets out the other side of this season though.
