Zero people here think that’s happening….right?
Or do the Magic have believers that this isn’t a massive fluke due to turn into a play in spot any minute now?

100% not a fluke.
Defense is legit, best bench in the league, Franz and Paolo are all-star worthy, Suggs is All-Defensive Team worthy, Cole is 6MOTY worthy, and we are on an 8 game winning streak without our starting PG and C. Mosley got these boys cookin :pimp:
you tank for years you're expected to start winning at some point
They are going to fall back to earth soon
Not a fluke but 59 is a bit much. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s like 53 or something though.
They seem hungry and play with way more energy than most.
one of the best defenses and one of the best /and maybe deepest/ benches is something that you can lean on. Not 59 maybe even not 50 wins, but getting a homecourt doesnt seem absurd right now. 2 starters are missing too and actually they can turn into some decent trade package down the road.
Little of both most likely.
They had a few game stretch where they were facing teams with missing key stars.
Still, a win is a win. The Clippers just lost to a Nuggets team missing Murray, Jokic, and Gordon. So you gotta give the Magic credit for beating who’s in front of them.
I havent watched em but it would surprise me if they sustain this kind of win ing percentage.

We were missing 2 key starters as well :kobe:
Magic don't have a superstar but currently everyone's playing like a legit 3rd best player in any team. If your 7th man plays at the level of a 3rd option then you're good.
Magic are legit this year. They've had a relatively easy schedule so far, so they'll most likely end up with less than 59 wins, but who knows.
They're good. Not 59 wins good. I think about 42-45 wins is a fair estimate.
They will win more games than AD will play...
Definitely not sniffing 60 wins but let me dream for now
Here's a good breakdown of their defense:
Key points:
- Ridiculous amount of length and size (Goga, Paolo, Franz, Isaac, WCJ..)
- Big long/strong/athletic guards who are amazing at navigating screens, point-of-attack defense, and rotating (Suggs, Black, Anthony, Fultz...)
- Amazing defense in transition/semi-transition/after missing a shot (league average offensive rating on these possessions = 120; Magic defensive rating when defending these possessions = 107)
- Jonathon Isaac crazy versatile and dominant (Magic has a 97 defensive rating with him on the court)
