Kind of underrated nowadays but he was a killer in the clutch and is as reliable as anyone to make the right play.

He had a nice coast to coast one vs the Bulls in the late 80s too. Maybe early 90s. And he’s the main reason they made the first finals vs the rockets. He didn’t just hit to the shot to send them through he scored like 3 times before that.

He had it in him.

Just wouldn’t do it often enough. I can see why he’d wanna stay the course but he had another gear he just didn’t wanna go to and a lot of the time they could have used it.

Yeah he probably shouldnt have deferred to Malone that much and should have helped carry the scoring burden more especially in the playoffs.
