he's already better than the Lebron in the all-time rankings.
This season will bump Lebron down the rankings because it taught everyone that Lebron isn't capable of being a dominant off-ball player (low time of possession player) and his normally-dominant stat lines don't translate when playing off-ball.
This matters because if he could dominate off-ball with 30 ppg instead of a garbage 20 ppg, these Lakers would be dominant favorites and a shoe-in for the title.. The off-ball play has allowed Reaves and company to play to capacity, so the only thing missing is Lebron adding 30 ppg on top of what is already there via off-ball play and expert jumpshoting skill - but again, he can only contribute a weak 22 ppg with garbage efficiency.
To summarize - if Jokic wins this year, he will prove superior to Lebron based on stats (advanced metrics) and also having a skillset that needs less help to win, aka a skillset that doesn't impose spot-up roles and therefore yields the teammate development, chemistry, and strategic capacity/coaching required to win with less supporting talent (organically).
