That particular season I'd rank him 4th after Garnett, Duncan and Tmac.

League was pretty weak. Stojakovic and Wallace were semi MVP contenders.


But if an MVP season is 10/10, what was Kobe?

That was the peak of the defensive era. Those numbers would make most modern fans underrate him.

I would say 3rd/4th best player after KG, Duncan and maybe Shaq. Obviously had a disappointing final.

Top 5 player in the league as has already been said. However, he was not mature enough to accept that he had to defer to his teammates (especially Shaq) to get in order to win more championships.
